What's the problem?

111th St. crossing

Why is a major arterial street closed for over two weeks? They used to get this done in one week. What's the problem?

  1. This is merely CSX telling crusading Matt O'Shea to kiss their a--! People forget, the railroads are solely under the jurisdiction of the Feds, not Matt O'Shea and the 19th ward and not Jimmy Sexton and the village of EP. They do not have to pay one single ticket issued to them by a municipality, they do so only after they accrue a certain amount and then they bargain them down to a manageable number. And they only do it to avoid nuisance bad PR. Any one out there in the readership use CSX for anything or perhaps are you planning on boycotting them? Didn't think so. The can literraly keep that crossing closed for ad infinitum and all the yelling and screaming wouldn't do a damn thing about it

If what you say is true, why does CSX contribute heavily to O'Shea, Cunningham, Hurley, etc? It's all on the website of the Illinois Board of Elections.

We all know that this is not Matts fault. It is not Frankies fault. It is not Billys fault. It is not Tommys fault. Blah Blah. One question: WHY do our local politicians take CSX money? And if our local pols have no say so over the railroads then why do the railroads give donations to the representatives?
