Looks like crap

9901 S. Western Ave. Former location of Suburban Bank.

West side of the building has 5 big dead ash trees. Looks like shit. Considering this is located on a major arterial street, it reflects poorly on the entire neighborhood. It creates the impression that we are impoverished or that nobody could give a rats ass. Looking at it from another angle, it's just a matter of time until tree limbs start falling
onto the public way.

The owner is a bank in Hinsdale. I would think that a simple phone call would get them to clean this hazard up. Surely, the city of Chicago has an ordinance prohibiting such conditions.

I agree. Another problem property in our neighborhood. It seems that the only successful businesses these days around here are nail salons, bars, or medical facilities. Oh and fast food joints. We have a lot of business owners, especially in Beverly and it would be nice if some of them would consider making the 19th Ward, and especially Western Ave or 95th St home. Just a thought. Maybe St Xavier could buy it and use it for classes or Admin. Its really just down the street.
