Good question. I think it was because this was taking place right around the time of the 2008 election and just after Barack (praised be his name) won. I bet if they let the tapes continue rolling they would have widened the net to include other "players", and make no mistake Barry was a player.

I hope he gets out and sings like a canary. Trump and he have some sort of relationship so he would owe his freedom, his life in a way, to DJT. He would love to take the gloves off against the corrupt Illinois "deep state" who put him in prison. This state needs an enema. The media are in the bag with the Democrats so it will have to come from the outside. Either that or our state will ultimately implode due to the weight of all the debt and pension obligations. I read within two years our state budget will pay over half the salary portion just to retirees. So we will be paying MORE for those who don't even work for us anymore than for those who are actually doing some sort of work on behalf of the taxpayers. When that day comes and we implode you can all say good bye to your pensions. But government union workers will not listen to reason, not to sanity even. They control the votes and therefore the money, (for now).
If I were him, I would have been writing a novel about the Cook County Democratic party the entire time I was away. And I'd have saved several chapters for Obama and Rhama, sort of an ObamaRhama Drama
