Off topic - So I'm watching a press conference regarding aid to hurricane victims in Puerto Rico and front and center, with arms folded across his chest with a scowl on his puss is none other than Bernie Stone's favorite little pip squeak Louis Gutierrez. Throughout the entire conference (about 30 minutes is all I could watch) Gutierrez stood there with this little scowl, covering those chiclets he disguises as teeth, like he wanted to show how tough and how concerned he is about his island outside the 26th ward. And as I'm watching, I think to myself, why is this guy, if he's so concerned, so serious about the welfare and well being of his homeland, why is he standing here? Why isn't he down there? Coming fresh off his pimpy, pseudo-macho lambasting of General Kelly, I would have thought a heroic figure like himself would be down there in the trenches with his people. But then again, its all for show, the backstabbing, cowardly, hide behind his congressional title that he's always exhibited. With gentrification going on up there in the Ukranian village neighborhood, the west loop and Pilsen, maybe the Yuppies will get wise to his bullshit and elect someone who doesn't look like a cross between a lizard and Mr. Ed.
Let's see two of our representatives voted for it and one was a no vote. All Catholic school products as is Durbin, Cullerton, Madigan and I'll let others add to the list. Power is key to understand these people.
