WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama should nominate a replacement for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, and the Senate should consider the appointment, Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., announced on Monday, splitting from Senate
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and GOP presidential contenders.

Kirk, facing a tough re-election bid this year, wrote in a Chicago Sun-Times op-ed posted online Monday that an Obama nominee deserves a hearing in the GOP-controlled Senate. That nominee should not “speak or act in the extreme,” he wrote.

I plan on contacting his office and letting him know that "Congratulations" for losing my vote this Fall. He really is not a Republican. I don't mean he is not a good enough Republican. He is NOT a Republican. While many in the Pres. field are being called "establishment" or Rinos. They are Republicans. He truly is a RINO - a Republican In Name Only. His vote for Planned Parenthood made me think I might not vote for him but this latest asinine remark made up my mind.

Mark Kirk has gotten an awful lot of mileage from that stroke. However, it doesn't make me forget his campaign lies about his military prowess and awards. Illinois's representatives in Congress are the extremes in mediocrity. The last representative who did anything for the state and the city went to jail, got out, and died. - Dan Rostenkowski.
