The electorate has been described by our leaders as a "basket of deplorables", "garbage" and "scoundrels". Besides that, they do truly care.
Trust me when I tell you that this is the prevailing attitude among a majority of our political leaders. Dat's why they call them the "Elite" don't you know.

IDOT dropped the ball on purpose.
Trying to punish everyone.
Coming back from Wisconsin on 94 last nite. As soon as we entered Illinois there had been no plowing or salt. Got off at Cicero Ave. Same thing. No plows or salt. Rauner is an asshole. His actions are endangering the common good. If he can't govern he should resign.
Rauner's plan is to bankrupt the state so he can gut all the union contracts and pensions. 401k is a scam. Look at what happened to the teamsters in central states fund cut their pension in half 3000 to 1500 a month they can bail out the banks and auto companies but not earned pensions.
What about 103rd St and all the local roads...saw no plows there either. I did not realize that Rauner sent word not to have the highways plowed. I think you are putting two and two together and arriving a six. Also if this is a result of the budget mess....I heard nothing about it from the liberal media who hates any and all Republicans. What about Madigan? Would he not share in any responsibility for the impasse? It takes two to tango as they say.
They didn't want to pay the overtime plus it's hard to find part time snowbirds most CDL holders have other full time jobs they promise these guys full time Highway Maintainer jobs but lie to them and just lay them off after the season..
