Is it my imagination or his Hillary starting to sound like Oprah. Which one is the bigger victim?
Hillary Clinton is launching her first television ads this week in Iowa and New Hampshire, hitting the airwaves while Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has been closing in on her in a recent poll.
The two 60-second ads will start running on Tuesday and cost approximately $1 million in each state, according to The Hill.
“Dorothy” focuses on Clinton’s mom.
“When I think about why I’m doing this I think about my mother, Dorothy. She was abandoned by her parents at the age of eight, sent from Chicago to LA to live with
grandparents who didn’t want her,” Clinton said. “But people showed her kindness and gave her a chance.”
grandparents who didn’t want her,” Clinton said. “But people showed her kindness and gave her a chance.”
Clinton says she’s doing it for “all the Dorothys” who have fought for their families and never gave up.
The second spot, titled “Family Strong,” also makes reference to her mother and dedication to family.
“My mom’s life and what she went through are big reasons why standing up for kids and families became such a big part of my life,” Clinton says.
A recent New Hampshire poll from CNN/WMUR shows Clinton could be in trouble in New Hampshire. It showed Clinton had support from 43 percent of those polled, while Sanders gets 35 percent. However, with a margin of error of /- 5.2 percentage points, it’s a toss-up.
Things could further be complicated for Clinton if Vice President Joe Biden enters the race. In that poll, he came in at 8 percent, but 20 percent said he’d be their second choice.
From the picture in this posting, she's starting to look a little like Oprah.
ReplyDeleteWow. She's actually putting those commercials on tv?? lol. So she should be President because her mom had a rough childhood? Ok. She's got my vote. Not.
