The mark of a loser

"You know, I went to Notre Dame."

Any person that manages to slip this into a conversation is 100% full of shit about everything. You will find that they are shallow in character, substance, fortitude and spirituality. Their achievements are the result not of their own efforts but that of their family.

When Barack Hussein Obama gave a commencement address at Notre Dame, I lost all respect. Around the same time, the ND security force arrested a Catholic priest for praying on campus.

How do you know someone went to Notre Dame? Because they tell you every five minutes during a conversation.

Thank you! Finally someone else is expressing what I have felt for some time now....as mentioned above juxtapose inviting Barack Hussein Obama to speak at the school, while the Church is in the process of suing the Obama Admin for forcing nuns to pay for abortion through Obamacare. And they even covered the religious artwork and statues where he was speaking. All to accommodate an enemy of our Church. And outside a true Catholic priest who was protesting was arrested. Google it. You will get sick to your stomach. Add to this the thumbing their nose at the Church so often over the years that they deserve to have their Catholic Charter removed. Also the scandals that have been occurring where the School Admin seems to be covering up a lot of bad stuff. Remember a few years ago, the psycho football coach insisted the student videographer go up on that ladder type device to get video even though the winds were dangerous...and the wind blew it over and he died. Also the girls raped by the so called student athletes and then the victims treated like they were mentally unstable....reminds me of Sandusky and who knows what else has been taking place there. God may have made Notre Dame #1 as the obnoxious bumper sticker used to say....but I truly hope God makes Notre Dame rot in hell.

I usually reply I'm a few hours short of my associates degree from Daley College and that usually ends the conversation.

Father Hesburgh was a far left radical and he basically ruined a Catholic institution. Anyone who still thinks this place has anything but contempt for Catholic teaching and who still are boosters for this decaying institution - are purely delusional.

  10. 'I drink only craft beer.'
    'I watch only Public Television'
'I read only the New York Times'
    'I vote only straight ticket.'

Any statement one makes that can be responded to with loud and appropriate " Who the @#$% cares?" marks one as a Snob, a toad-eating, lick-spittle. William Makepeace Thackeray wrote - "If you, who are a person of the middle ranks of life, are a Snob,—you whom nobody flatters particularly; you who have no toadies; you whom no cringing flunkeys or shopmen bow out of doors; you whom the policeman tells to move on; you who are jostled in the crowd of this world, and amongst the Snobs our brethren: consider how much harder it is for a man to escape who has not your advantages, and is all his life long subject to adulation; the butt of meanness; consider how difficult it is for the Snobs' idol not to be a Snob."

    Times change; people can not.
