We have put our necks on the line in order to bring you a more effective and responsive mayor. We need you to help
out today. Thank You.
- How about that kid Frank Kaminski from Wisconsin?
- I see the Sox are off to another traditional season. Is it too late to change managers?
- Obama is having a climate change press conference this morning. At least he kept out of the Chicago election.
- Looks like the Palestinians in the Syrian refugee camp are going to relocated to the United States. All 1,000,000 of them. Look for that announcement later in the week.
- I'm not sure but I think this blog was tampered with during the past few days. It seems to have affected visibility to some of the readers. All fixed now. Why would someone want to do that?
A picture of Chuy wearing his Saint Rita Mustangs hoodie was taken with regular working men and women at TR's Pub in Mt.Greenwood during halftime of the SuperBowl. It galvanized the reason people in our neighborhood genuinely like and respect Chuy. The overwhelming majority of parents in our community send their children to Catholic High Schools at great expense. Most do this because they appreciate the academics, discipline, spirituality and lifetime bond that a Catholic education provides. Others are forced to send there kids to Catholic High Schools because the two Chicago Public High Schools in our Ward are not an option for most. The Chicago Ag School is a Magnet School and according to the CPS website "Magnet schools are filled with the highest-scoring students with no sibling or proximity considerations." The other CPS High School in our Ward is Morgan Park High School. The CPS website states that Morgan Park is "a Level 2 low rated CPS school" which will require "District oversight for changes to curriculum, student services and other remedies." Also included is the demographics for Morgan Park which is 97% African American and less than 1% white. That is somewhat of a shame since our Ward is 70% white and 30% African American. Morgan Park was the school of choice of many in our neighborhood and was a successfully integrated school in the not so distant pass. So you certainly cannot blame the parents who just don't want to send their children to a low rated high school. All the Best, You Know Who
ReplyDeleteChuy and his wife spent yesterday visiting the 19th Ward. He visited many family owned great neighborhood businesses and was very well received at all of them. He even got a rousing round of applause from the regulars at Ken's where he dined with his wife.
ReplyDeleteRahm promised 1000 more police on he streets. He failed to do that and continued to cut the CPD budget by 1500 positions.
ReplyDeleteChuy will hire 1000 more Police Officers instead of thinning out an already overworked and under manned police force.
I just want to live out my years in dignity being able to provide for myself without being a financial burden on my loved ones that's why I'm voting for Chuy Garcia. I think Chuy shares the values of our community and is the best bet to ensure our neighborhood's traditions and way of life.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for Garcia. I feel that he is truly invested in our city and would not just use it as a stepping stone.
ReplyDeleteRahm wants my pension.
