A substantiated rumor is making the rounds about a number of unfortunate incidents at the office of a local 19th ward politician.
The first incident involves the conversion of money from a campaign fund. The amount is in the six-figure range.
The second incident (or should I say incidents) concerns no shows at a government job and has been already reported upon by one of the better bloggs.
While both of these alleged crimes have resulted in firings and terminations, it is strange that nobody has run off to the media as is often the case with trivial incidents. In any case, it reflects poorly, very poorly, upon the management abilities of the public official. I think I forgot to say that the Feds are interested, very interested, in the no shows case. There will be more to come out of this soon.

Still surprised Whitey Bulger wasn't found hiding out in Mt. Greenwood/Beverly for decades, with the help of these 19th Ward Pols and Feds. Ever wonder why no politicos from the 19th Ward ever get caught and go to prison? Why can the Feds catch so many corrupt Illinois Governors, but nobody else? Duh ??? ReplyDeleteI think he is referring to the pol from the ward with a really bad toupee. His own family is suing him and so are numerous employees in federal court. He is extremely hated by everyone. He is the protégé of Micheal Sheahan. When Sheahan left office he had only 7 employees suing him while the man with the toupee has 247. The man with the toupee Chief of Staff just resigned and his other top aide is under investigation in workers comp probe where his sister made several hundred thousand dollars representing over 50 deputies who have claim to been injured on job. Many of these deputies were rewarded by promotion and or transfer after taking this connected attorney.. The man with the bad toupee seems oblivious to all this corruption and I am not naming him for the sake of a blog..

DeleteThis has been the pattern for years. Look at the lifestyles these people have enjoyed. Political activity in this community is all about getting wealthy. Service is alien to these people. Double dip pensions and conversions are the norm. Lately it's private sector no bids to the connected. Two bit lawyers who have not a clue about litigation but they have access and get county vouchers for doing next to nothing. Hey they contribute to the community and they a'int bad I guess. Who is the disgruntled Local 399 member, or should I say, person who wanted to be a member that keeps on spouting off about pay-offs for jobs? You should start checking facts. The fact is that Local 399 is not in the schools, at least the way that you claim. Local 143 is. Local 399 has about 50 people working in newly-built schools for Sodexo, which is a private firm. The rest of the aging schools are staffed by engineers represented by Local 143.
