ILLINOIS BILL TO "GREEN LIGHT" SPEED CAMS STATEWIDE
BELLEVILLE - Democrat State Rep. Jay Hoffman is ready for speed cameras to be given the green light for installation outside Chicago. His bill - HB 4632 - would remove the ban on speed cameras for municipalities with a population under 1,000,000.
State Sen. Dan Duffy, who has opposed the cameras wrote on his Facebook page: "Speed Cameras generate big $$$ for towns. If you drive over speed limit, cameras will automatically send you a ticket in the mail."
RedSpeed USA is an Illinois company that provides and installs speed cameras at no cost to government. Instead, the company receives a percentage of each ticket, which may be paid through the company's website HERE.
RedSpeed USA has contributed to Rep. Hoffman several times over the last few years:

ReplyDeleteI always thought that Tom Hynes was a little liberal but he would never have voted for these cameras
ReplyDeleteAnother elected official voting for his agenda rather than the people who elected him.
