Rauner for Governor

RAUNER AND HIS RUNNING MATE

RAUNER LIKELY TO WIN COOK COUNTY GOP ENDORSEMENT AFTER DILLARD STUMBLES. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HIM EXCEPT HE FAVORS TERM LIMITS AND IS RUNNING AGAINST QUINN.

UPDATE: RAUNER IS THE OFFICIAL NOMINEE WITH 63.3%.

1370452461-rauner_april_2013CHICAGO - Is is being reported that Bruce Rauner will win the 60 percent of the vote needed to get the Cook County GOP's pre-primary endorsement. An announcement by the Cook County Republican Party is planned for Saturday.
According to Michael Sneed, Orland Township Committeeman Liz Gorman is lobbying for Rauner, 42nd Ward Committeeman Eloise Gerson is pushing for State Treasurer Dan Rutherford and Wheeling Township GOP Committeeman Ruth O'Connell is arguing for State Senator Kirk Dillard.
Sources told Illinois Review that the contest has primarily been between Kirk Dillard and Bruce Rauner. Rauner was offering financial investment into the various Cook GOP organizations, while Dillard was offering peace in the form of a brokered truce between the warring factions in the county's Republican leadership.
Initially, the preference among the leaders was for an armistice and therefore for Dillard. However, the Dillard offering went off the rails following his campaign's press release accusing Cook County GOP Chairman Aaron Del Mar of being bought off by the Rauner campaign.
"This is the height of pay-to-play," Dillard campaign manager Glenn Hodas said after Rauner received Palatine GOP's endorsement last month. "Rauner and his allies are basically buying votes while making it appear as though he's getting widespread support. It's absolutely unacceptable."
Following that, the Cook GOP leadership fractured again and the tide of support turned to Rauner, who the other campaigns admit will likely win the endorsement.
However, one township committeeman told Illinois Review that no matter who is endorsed on Saturday, GOP townships will work for the candidates of their local organization's choice, not the county's. So while Rauner may win the endorsement, the ultimate victory depends on who gets out the vote next March 18.

Did you see all these new fines, fees, and taxes designed to hit the "little guy." Oh, developers have a bit higher permit fee. My offer for that Palos property was rejected, and I am only casually searching. But I think I might be out. I moved back to Mt. Greenwood, and I love the community and people. But this city is becoming too frustrating for me.

--higher cigarette taxes (I only smoke cigars, but I think smokers are oppressed)

--amusement taxes on cable TV (I have cable for HBO)

--$100 for driving 11mph or over and $35 for drivign 10 mph over near school zones with those photo-enforced cameras

--More oppression for vehicles, fines for music too loud while driving

    --Additional parking violation fines

--Increased fines for parking during rush hour where it is banned

You are forced to drive in this City because public transportation is defective, inadequate, and unsafe. However, you can barely afford to drive. We also have the highest gas taxes and prices in the country.

When I see Liz Gorman I know who NOT to support. I liked Rauner's ads until I found out that he was in part responsible for RAhm's windfall finders fee in excess of 16 million dollars while working as an investment banker !? and arranging a deal for SBC (Bill Daley) to sell Security Link a security firm they owned and was told they must SELL. Who bought it ? Bruce Rauner's venture Capital firm. Rahm has vacationed with RAuner....just simply GOOGLE ----------- "Rahm Emanuel 16 million" you will find the connections. Liz is a true RINO but she is a Democrat in Republican clothing. Her family is from the 19th and she is a DEM. You can always find her working to CHALLENGE existing Republicans like Dan Rutherford (who at the time was one of only TWO statewide Republicans)

Liz Gorman is buddies with the FAKE Republican Jim Parrilli who is the 19th Ward Committeman. Make no mistake - this guy is NOT a Republican. I do not mean that he is not a "true" or "conservative" Republican. He is not a Republican....period. He has never done anything at all in our Ward. When asked he said something like he was waiting for the grass roots to come to life or some other blather. If a Commiteeman is not grass roots then there is no grass roots. When Cathryna the activist was creating a resistance back in 2010 where was Parilli ? Nowhere ! Apparently he showed up at her campaing HQ asking for some signs with a few days to go before primaries. She told him to get the He77 out of her office...that he was worthless. Forget Gorman and forget Parilli....work on your own....

    1. The infighting at the Republican party is notorious. The above post is an example. What did Ms. Gorman and Mr. Parrilli do to deserve such an attack? Probably nothing. Perhaps this kind of behavior is in part the reason why the Republicans can't win many elections. People don't like baseless attacks.

Murph - my post above - I think to answer your question regarding WHAT they have done is right there in my post. For Parilli - he really has done NOTHING. I have NEVER gotten anything from him. He is not active. In fact the only proof of any political contributions he has made - was just one.....to Ginger Rugai. I am saying he has done nothing in our Ward. All you have to do to START a movement is to go and get all the PRIMARY voters in your ward to see who voted Republican....that is a START. Then you contact them....you try to activate them.....something...he really and truly has done nothing. I believe that he is put there by the Dems and they figure how many votes they need to keep him there....and as the ward is lop sidedly Democrat in the primaries....they can tell a certain number of people to actually vote Republican - and vote FOR him in the primary - then they add a second or third challenger....Read Kristen McQueary articles about how they run fake candidates....We had some challengers who wanted to try to get the Commiteeman to be an active player and they lose. Usually there is 2 or 3 challengers. This is not a baseless attack. If someone can tell me ANYTHING he has done please post it. He did not even have SIGNS for candidates. That is not an attack. It is a fact.

Regarding Liz Gorman once again SHE is the one CREATING infighting by challenging Republicans who already got elected !! We have so few why the heck would you go after the few that made it to office and force them to fight a primary battle??? There are a lot of unfilled candidate positions that need filling Why is it that Liz Gorman consistently fields candidates against sitting Republicans but cant seem to find candidates for other offices ? That is true INFIGHTING. My point is she always finds a way to FIGHT Republicans ! She is causing the infighting. I am simply pointing that out. I supported any Republican in Illinois who was in office or trying to get into office and will continue to do so. I put a sign on my lawn despite the whispers and occasional snickers of my government union combine neighbors. What has Parilli done ? And reference point as well. I am not in favor of the tea party doing the same thing in primaries either.
