The electorate has been described by our leaders as a "basket of deplorables", "garbage" and "scoundrels". Besides that, they do truly care. Trust me when I tell you that this is the prevailing attitude among a majority of our political leaders. Dat's why they call them the "Elite" don't you know.

Mayor Dart. I like the ring.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I do not know if it would be better for Dart to go for Mayor or Governor. As a resident of Chicago, I prefer Mayor because I think his leadership would go along way. However, Illinois needs his leadership and the end of these awful family dynasties (Madigan or Daley). I would even like to see Dart go further than Governor . . . .He took on the banks for the homeowner before any politician, local or national, had the courage to. I admire and respect him.
DeleteWe know who your chinaman is!
DeleteSon of a Terrorist Mayor of Chicago!!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.veteranstoday.com/2011/01/27/rahm-emanuel%E2%80%99s-father-specialized-in-bus-bombings-in-palestine/
time for a Republican Mayor. Middle Class Taxpayers have been Raped enough.
ReplyDeleteRahm bullied his way into the 5th floor. He had richie shaking. Richie knew that if he resisted he was going to be indicted. Rahm will leave just as fast so Dart needs to be ready to take over.
ReplyDeleteMayor Emanuel is doing a good job considering what he was left to work with. The level of incompetence and corruption within the Daley administration was truly incredible. Chicago cannot afford another Daley type mayor.
ReplyDeleteNo different than JAGOFF BUDDY in D.C , NO personality, WON'T negotiate, PISSED-OFF at the Sergeants for NOT agreeing to HIS STRONG ARM , UNCONSTITUTIONAL contract, Firefighters , FORGET IT! BUT HE WILL RAISE PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE SCHOOLS, NOTHING LIKE PISSING MONEY AWAY ON A LOSING PROPOSITION.
ReplyDeleteDart Family dynasty goes back to his Dad who was corporation counsel to the first Daley. They were good buddies and he is just as connected as any other potential candidate. The only ones who think Dart is the obvious choice are those connected city worker big wigs who operate behind the scenes and will benefit greatly if he is elected. Also, the lean on broom job holders, door knocker followers in the 19th Ward who think their kid is going to get a job before Manuel or Donte. Based on his performance as Sheriff he has gone out of his way to show zero favoritism to our Ward.
ReplyDeleteSo Rahm is the enemy of the city workers of the 19th Ward. They will try to elect a new Daley or Dart. Then it will be back to business as usual - or so they think. There is no going back. Daley pissed away billions of our dollars during good times - and with the crap economy those billions are gone. The gravy train....well she just pulled out of the station leaving those Proud Union Family members standing around with puzzled looks on their faces.
Those Proud Union Home signs are startin to crack and fade just a little bit. Hope and Change done come and gone. You were played by the future of the Democrat Party. Hint : South side "white ethnics" as the demographers call them have been pushed to the sidelines. Wake up.
ReplyDeleteI do not like Rahm much, but it is true he inherited a stink pile. But unlike the Socialist in Chief - he instituted some common sense spending curbs, cutbacks, and streamlining for ridiculous inefficiencies, waste etc...
ReplyDeleteI feel a little bit at least, like the guy has some concern for the people who have to pay. These people called tax PAYERS you know the people who work for a living in the private sector - where if you suck at your job or are lazy - you get fired? It may be an alien concept to many in the 19th Ward who know no other life other than a government check. You do not PAY at all. You are PAID - by us - then you kick some of it back in "taxes". Your "taxes" are just a small rebate in our obligation to fund the government you suck off of.

ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if you could bring back somebody like Richard J Daley. Neither of his sons is like their father. And bring back a George Dunne type.
ReplyDeleteTed Palka for Mayor of Chicago
ReplyDeleteWith the high number of tax absorbing low information gibs me dat voters in Chicago Dart actually has a chance. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteRahm brings out the "I'm for the taxpayers" mantra when he wants to pit teachers against other taxpayers (something he wouldn't dare try with police and firefighters). That phrase is noticeably gone from his "negotiations" with DePaul over a new facility and giveaways under TIF -- something he said he would be against when he ran for Mayor.
ReplyDeleteDart? God no. More of the same. I would be for Preckwinkle, but I don't think she's going to run.
This fiction about people getting fired in the private sector when they don't do their job? Right. They get a million dollar buy-out on their way out the door (see recent METRA boss).
Go Hawks!!
Wow I actually agree with MPots up until he refers to the "fiction about people getting fired in the private sector". Maybe those at the top get million dollar buyouts. The average private sector person who was fired, or laid off, or given only part time hours is certainly not getting ANYTHING from their ex employer and certainly no help from Obama in helping to create new jobs. All they are offered from Obama is another welfare check. You are seriously out of touch MPots. Try reading something other than your teachers union magazine or the Socialist Workers Party drivel. You are speaking in Marxist baby talk.
DeleteA good mayor.
