"There may be something wrong with that 115th St. crossing"?? Are you kidding me? In the fatal incident last month, there were witnesses who observed the driver drive around the lowered gates and in this incident, the driver freely admits to going around the lowered gates in an attempt to beat a freight train, unaware a Metra train was coming from the other direction. The only thing wrong with this crossing is the abundance of idiots who ignore the flashing lights, loud bells and the downed gates in an attempt to save a couple minutes, thus endangering their lives and the lives of other motorists and our first responders. Sorry, but there's no excuse for STUPIDITY!

Like so many, the kid was "in a hurry" and tried to go around the lowered gate. Not a good move. When the gate is lowered, stay put.
