Cunningham has always been an opportunist. When Sheahan was the Sheriff, Cunningham use to follow Mikey around on the 7th floor like a lost lamb, kissing his ARSE. Cunningham is a mindless political hack who is beholdened to To sum it up, Cunningham is a mindless boob. I wouldn't let Cunningham park my car, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.
A new Harold's Chicken Shack is coming to 95th street in Beverly. Which 19th Ward pol is going to be there to take credit and cut the ribbon for bringing this healthy franchise development here ?

TONIGHT Palos/Orland League of Women Voters Candidate Debate TONIGHT Wednesday, October 10 @ 6:30 PM Green Hills Library 8611 W. 103rd Street | Palos Hills Featuring: Dr. Barbara Bellar, Candidate for State Senate 18th District Dr. Ricardo Fernandez, Candidate for State House 35th District Bob Shelstrom, Candidate for State House 36th District and their democrat counterparts
On Tuesday, November 6, 2012 we have the opportunity to send members of our community to be a strong voice in Springfield. With mounting debt and many other serious problems facing our State, it is imperative that our elected leaders share our concerns for safer streets, better schools, and tax relief. Please join me in supporting Bill Cunningham for State Senate & Frances Ann Hurley for State Representative. Lawn signs supporting Bill & Fran are now available at the 19th Ward Democratic Organization, 10402 S. Western Ave. If you would like to display a sign for Bill and/or Fran, please reply to this email with your address and we will arrange delivery.
I say we should all go over there and get signs and then take them home and hide them in our basements !! Matt - do you ever think about the people you are promoting for office and how glaringly and insultingly they are at serious odds with the church you profess to belong to.? Our grandparents would have grabbed you by the scruff of your neck out of that office and introduced you to the Irish Shileleigh ! As you go to communion and place the host in your mouth remember the babies that will be ripped to pieces at least in part due to positions of the party you represent and the people you have endorsed. Turn from the dark side Matt. I know there is good in you. Dont be a sellout to our forefathers. They bled and fought in the streets for their heritage and religion.
How could either of these candidates be a strong voice when neither of them has ever even had their own voice. Billy Cunningham was a press person for Dart and Quinn. Fran Hurley is an aldermanic office worker who didn't even speak up for the striking teachers. They are not leaders.
Anon said: " Fran Hurley is an aldermanic office worker who didn't even speak up for the striking teachers."
Why defend the indefensible? The 'teachers' were too lazy to go to work for a week, leaving the kids in the lurch. They do, on average, a poor job, and yet are paid excessively for it. And as a result of their laziness, they inexplicably got another excessive pay raise.
She should condemn the lazy, greedy, thugs. Not defend them.
To "Matt O'Shea"...you turned me off with your needlessly nasty anti Anne Scheible mailers where you pulled out the "evil Bush Republican boogeyman". I have seen you at St. John Fisher. Do you realize that Bush WON the Fisher school vote for President BOTH times? Yes Obama won the last time by a handful of votes in 2008. This gives you a little insight into YOUR neighborhood's political leanings. We are not all Democrats and certainly not LIBERALS. ALOT of us are sick of the taxes, regulations and mess created by Obama all the way down to the State level. Fran was a terrible choice. I hope you have enough sense to refrain from pushing Obama. He is a failure as President and has been a disaster to many of the union workers you believe rubber stamp ANY Democrat you put up. Obama is poison and I think he is going to go down in flames in November....better jump ship fast.
They seem like nice people and friends and relatives have signs here and there so I suppose that's good.I have sent them a copied e-mail now and again and no response so well maybe their is a better way. This ward is a curious subculture of the old "who ya know" or as Rakove had fun with oh some 40 years ago with his now celebrated book titled "Don't Send Nobody Nobody Sent" It's incredible that hundreds in our ward still think that game is in play. I run into folks constantly that love to say " well you know man I know this X or this X and You know there gonna do tis and that and you know it's all about clout" Sorry boys and girls it's over! Maybe the scammers can still get a kid or two a better school by the door bell hustle and ,for sure, the "clouted" will retain their scams, but by and large if yall want a good job get a credential. In the meantime I'm fighting the good fight by trying to get illegal criminals deported and yall have no idea how silly the machine really is these days. Oh well at least we still celebrate Columbus
Bill Cunningham is a good man and a very strong voice for OUR neighborhood. He may be the most intelligent man I have ever met, and has used that the help make our community as strong as it is. We live in one of the greatest neighborhoods around, and we owe some of that to people like Bill. He has my vote.
No offense but Cunningham has only been in office like two years. He has had no time to make any real impact on our neighborhood. What specifically has he done for our neighborhood while in Springield? This neighborhood was a great area long before he ever arrived on the scene. I know hime from High School and he was a smart enough guy - but by no means a genius. His "voice" will be a decidedly liberal one, pro-abortion, pro-Quinn tax hikes and reckless spending. Anti-2nd Amendment and basically whatever Madigan wants. He is NOT independent. He is exactly like the old boss. A puppet of the 19th Ward Democrat Machine (or what is left of it.). So the voice may be strong but is it really for US? or maybe just you?
Beverly Unitarian Church, that's right, the Castle. Sunday, October 21, 2012 3:00pm – 5:00pm Brigid Leahy, Director of Legislative Affairs for Planned Parenthood of Illinois will present information on attempts to defund women’s health programs, legislation restricting abortion access, and refusal to provide health care by religiously connected organizations or medical providers.
Planned Parenthood funds 19th ward Democratic Party candidates, and they expect something in return. Quid pro quo, the Chicago way.
For a neighborhood like Beverly, with such strong Catholic roots, to support candidates like Cunningham and Hurley, and the Democratic party, which is at war with the Catholic church, is sickening. Do none of you get it? Are you that concerned with getting invited to the next "A-list" party? The hypocrites know who they are. Think about it on Sunday when you walk up the aisle to receive communion, or drop off your kids at SJF, CK, or Saint Barnabas! Take down the signs and stop supporting these asshat politicians.
"Brigid Leahy, Director of Legislative Affairs for Planned Parenthood of Illinois will present information on attempts to defund women’s health programs"
Planned Parenthood is a major major recipient of corporate welfare in the US, and its top leaders rake in millions. It's "Job #1" is abortion. Bringing harm to children. They hold the other functions such as women's health care to be secondary to their goals.
I think Bill Cunningham is a good guy all in all, but that does not mean he deserves my vote. His policies would not be helpful to me and I disagree with the liberal agenda of the Democrats. They have really morphed into a radical party. The problem is it is not illustrated as such by the media because they are of the same leftist persuasion. So they portray radical liberals as middle of the road and they knee cap every true conservative politician able to surface above the slime. They and the uber liberal union change agents in the public schools are what has destroyed the state.
if you want to stop the democratic party as they stand now we have to vote for whoever is running against them. we need to stand up for ourselves.madigan and his gang walked away from me lonbg before i walked away from them . stop buying what they're selling. stop whining about it and do what you know you should do

How did the castle get permission to put up such a bright led sign.............in a residential district.
