Lawsuit over retirement facility at 99th - Central Park

The school district is doing what the village didn't do. Go figure.  The concern seems to be about the future use of the facility. 10 or 20 years from now.

Why are the politicians putting up political signs in the new park at 111 and Kedzie? Lets vote against everyone that does

  2. Makes sense. We should also vote against those who harass us with telemarketing, especially after we told them not to do this by registering in the "Do Not Call List".

I remember also in 2008, the Obama campaign spammed me. I communicated with the spammer, and he was claiming that the cause of electing Obama was too important to be constrained by laws, and that he would sue me if I reported him to his ISP.

The Do Not Call List does not include non-profit organizations or efforts, unfortunately.

  4. Anon: Legally, it does not. But it is obvious that a request to be on the Do Not Call Registry is a request for no telephone harassment, at all. Even if there are certain groups that don't legally have to obey the request.

The harassment by the Obama campaign I mentioned above happened to be email spam, and of the type which was specifically illegal.

  5. well if it's spamming for his highness well then ok.....more bullshit.... signs ,signs everywhere signs, ita sickening. Now for the issue here. that whole area that the sisters own should be for what they originally stated. now that the city is involved you bet your ass that things should be completely spelled out ,otherwise thel'll be moving all kinds of section 8 shitt in there. don't trust anything the city tells you....NOTHING. why don't the residents have any says so? I am not fully aware of this issue but don't trust what the city tells you.......except for his highness,of course

  6. I guess some don't read the initial posting, choosing to rant on other things.

In the Southtown Article, it says the Sisters have agreed, legally, that no one but religious are allowed to stay there. If this is true, can someone explain what the suit is really about?
