Voters should read this.

Bishop Jackson
Today is Sunday. A good time to read what this man of God says and re-evaluate your own conscience. Do you want to vote for what you know is right or do you want to gamble your future and your children's future for the promise of "change" and a maybe job? You are only going to have one more chance and then............................
CHESAPEAKE, Va. -- "Let God's people go!" says Bishop E.W. Jackson echoing the cry of Moses in the book of Exodus. The Bishop has begun a campaign to persuade Christians, Catholic and Protestant, of all races that the time has come for a wholesale Exodus of Christians from the Democrat Party.
He points to the Democrat Party's "cult-like devotion" to abortion; the rejection of the traditional biblical model of the family; the hostility hurled at those who express a Christian viewpoint such as Dan Cathy of Chick-Fil-A; the actions of Democrat organizations such as the ACLU and the Foundation For Freedom From Religion in suing cities and towns for displaying crosses at memorials or mentioning the name Jesus in prayer at official events.

According to Bishop Jackson, Democrat operatives are attacking Gabrielle Douglas, the 16 year old black American who won the 2012 Gold Medal in gymnastics. "The accomplished young lady had the nerve to give glory to God for her win," Jackson says. "This apparently offended liberals." Mary Elizabeth Williams, journalist for the progressive online magazine salon.com wrote, "I've often wondered what it is about Christians like Douglas that unnerves me so... Douglas and her ilk seem to espouse a faith based on what is commonly referred to as 'The God of Parking Spaces'."
"Progressives," E.W. Jackson says, "are indeed 'unnerved' by devout Christians. That's why they resort to ridicule, even of a 16 year old Olympic medal winner. Williams says we worship 'The God of Parking Spaces', but I would prefer Gabby's God of grace and kindness to the leftist's god of ridicule and persecution. Our Heavenly Father loves us and helps those who are humble enough to ask Him."
Later this month when Democrats make same-sex marriage part of their official Party Platform, he says, "they will be spitting in the face of every Bible believing Christian in America. They will be saying, 'we don't care what you think, what you believe, or what the Bible or the God of the Bible says. We know better than God'." Jackson's message to Christians is, "The Democrat Party has turned its back on Christians. It is time to turn our backs on the Democrat Party."
E.W Jackson is a Bishop, Marine Corps Veteran, graduate of Harvard Law School, former practicing Attorney and Adjunct Professor of Law, former candidate for U.S. Senate in Virginia and Founder and President of STAND.www.standamerica.us

This guy is great ! Imagine if you ever heard this from a pulpit at Barnabas, Fisher, CK or St Christina? I have to admit when I go to mass in the 19th Ward, I almost never hear much that is relevent to the very stark life choices people face today, when so many of the most basic tenets of the religions our forefathers were willing to fight to the death for! Instead we would rather just keep our mouths shut - so we can keep that cushy city job. Those of us in the hood need to have the same courage and moral clarity of this man. Believe me the black community is even more insular and closed minded regarding politics than our 19th Ward Democrat turn coats. Speak up at the fund raiser, or outside the school, or at the coffee shop. Many times when people hear someone with the courage of their convictions, (willing to be mocked or ostracized) - the gives courage to others....What a great blog post!

Even with those credentials, I bet he makes more money with this pseudo-religious political advocacy than he would practicing law.

Abortion, gay marriage, and formerly prohibition and gender rights, are these hot button issues that get people to vote exclusively on the issue. Not sure if they cancel out.

But I think it exploits people. It is unethical marketing for a church or corporation. Some entity (person, corporation, church) is trying to get you to buy---or not buy---something.

In other words, this guy is having you "buy" via donations (tax deductible, and his probably 501church tax exempt, double the money for him). Worse, just to mention it: churches do not pay property taxes either.

Anyway, do not get offended that I am not stupid enough to think that buying a chicken sandwich makes any damn difference or gay marriage impacts my heterosexual marriage.

Commentary on video: It is reaching the terminal point of pitiful and even becoming dangerous.

There is a concerted effort against the Catholic faith by many in the Democratic Party. Notre Dame is now suing the Obama administration over its Catholic doctrine. Democrats are betting that the catholic vote is irrelevant.

ND can kiss my Irish arse. Are they the ones that invited Obama to speak there and arent they the ones that had a Catholic priest arrested for protesting abortion on their campus. As far as I'm concerned, ND is now a secular school.

ND has lost its fire, spirit for me. I used to enjoy the games and pre-game parties. It is just not the same.

Past few years turned down more free tickets than attended.

Touchdown Jesus, still love the grotto.

Most catholic universities are unfortunately secular now. Catholics have been in the business of education for thousands of years and mastered it - didn't the monks save Western civilization?

Anyway, I could get into a whole thing myself of how I have also turned from the church due to its politics, among other reasons. Still, a Catholic education is priceless.

  4. I think the guy's right -- Christians who place social issues ahead of anything else in the Bible should form their own political party.

Great ! Now the internet trolls have invaded even a smaller site such as this. This blog basically allows those of us who are sick to death of people (like the above post spouting their liberal left wing socialist union inspired ant corporate rhetoric) talking our ears off - when they are completely transparent as to their motives, ie "my cushy government job with it's insane and unsustainable benefits". We really don't come here to listen to ever more of the same crap that flies in the face of everything we actually experience every day! The fake Catholics in the 19th Ward are enough to make us sick! And by the way, the Democrats are using their party to promote their own "religion" of anti American Socialism. All hail the State ! And they have attacked our religion by challenging the long held rights of believers to hold their own opinions. The whole push for redefining marriage is to OUTLAW anyone who disagrees...if it is a "civil right" - then your religion cannot "discriminate" against gays.. After all, the gay movement HATES the Catholic Church and hence hates us.

"the whole push" to redefine marriage is to "OUTLAW" people over disagreements? What?

Not even Bishop of the Ward (highest office in the Mormons) Willard (Mitt) Romney goes to this extent.

It was my former organization, Knights of Columbus, that spent the most amount of money on opposition to gay marriage. There is no "gay movement" that I am aware that spends a penny to "OUTLAW" the Catholic Church. That is crazy talk.

It was the Catholic Church and its organs/affiliates that involved itself in politics. To me it goes to issues of tax deductions and exemptions on income, property, etc.

If someone is telling you that there is a "gay movement" trying to "outlaw" your religion, be careful about tithing (which, coincidentally, was a "tax" at one time, speaking of taxes).

Whether it is leftist religious entrepreneurs like Rev. Jesse Jackson or rightist religious entrepreneurs like Bishop E.W. Jackson, they both are bad. Both need to stop trying to legislate their version of morality.

I thought there was a war of revolution and constitutional amendment to keep religion and politics separated.

Once upon a time the King of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was the head of government, state, and religion. Once upon a time? That is the case even today. Too much blood has been spent to prevent religious entrepreneurs like the one above from legislating our lives.

    Let's move forward, not backward.

There is no constitutional amendment to "keep religion and politics separated"....not our constitution..... The truth is that already in Canada (which has had a gay marriage law adopted in 2006) - already they are banning religious groups from opposing homosexual behavior....the one thing homos have always wanted was acceptance ! It is the one thing almost no society has ever granted them! Why? Because it is unnatural. It is a dis-order. Male and female sexuality are designed to create life - that is a biological and natural fact - forget religion. Homosexual behavior has been linked countless times to high rates of disease....why....because they use the human excretory tract to engage in sexual behavior. It now, and always has been, an act associated with excrement and was and is considered a risky act that spawns diseases. Thousands of years of western and eastern societies have come to the same conclusion....but now in the past five or ten years we suddenly "see the light" ??

    2. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion
Together with the Free Exercise Clause ("... or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"), these two clauses make up what are called the "religion clauses" of the First Amendment.[1] (Wikipedia)

You're wrong. It IS in the Constitution.

There is no ban in Canada in opposing gay rights. Two complaints were filed under the Alberta Human Rights Act against a bishop there. This bishop wanted the State to use its "coercive power" to curtail adultery, prostitution, homosexual behaviour, and pornography. Many public officials are on the record, both in their voting patterns and otherwise, as being against gay rights. The majority in Canada, however, disagree.

Excrement causes disease? Interesting view. Let us know how homosexual behaviour correlates with high rates of disease.
