No disrespect intended but, like other hospitals, doesn't Children's Memorial charge patients and their insurance companies for medical care?

Don't they also get funding from the state and federal governments?

In the past, hasn't Children's Memorial used some of its money to support various political campaigns (like Blago's)?

I urge people to think long and hard about the charities they support!

I don't know the answer to most of your questions, but I believe children's memorial was the first to come forward about Blago trying to shake them down for campaign contributions. They contacted their attorneys and the rest is history

Chicago is facing a $654.7 million shortfall that could go even higher to settle claims tied to the city’s discriminatory handling of the 1995 firefighters entrance exam, aldermen were told today.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported last week that the shortfall could approach a record $700 million when the cost of police and fire contracts are figured in, setting the stage for another raid on the city reserves that were built with funds from awarding long-term leases on the city’s parking meters and the Chicago Skyway

Keep voting for the Democrats!! they have served us well.
