I think that the plans put in place by Alderman Rugai are beginning to bear fruit. We are soon going to have a wonderful retailer and a Starbucks in Phase one. Phase two will be starting next year followed by phases three and four. It goes to show that good planning yields good results.
I like the"Green" building concept but I have to admit that is one of the ugliest buildings I ever saw. Did anyone put any thought into making it pretty? Are we going to have to look at this forever?
I thought that Starvucks pulled out with their company down sizing last year and that a Dunkin Donuts was going in instead? Not that it matters to me, as long as it is something to spruce up 111th St.
As far as people messing with women at the 7-11 I have been up there a few times seen women being harassed reached down checked and seen that I still had balls and said something. I see a lot of you so called "men" just walk on by because you are afraid of any confrontation rather it be physical or verbal. So the next time you are up there and see a woman getting harassed reach up your skirt make sure you still have a pair and actually do something about it. At 33 and living in this neighborhood my whole life (except for my hiatus to the Marines) I am not going to curl up in a corner and turn into a Nancy Boy while this neighborhood starts to crumble. Do something about it Francis. Been in a few scraps in my day what the hell is a few more?
that green building is not as innocent as it seems. he is from 1908 w 87 street. he has blueprints and city funding for 10 more in the neighborhood. they all will look alike except different colors.
The builder is AmeriSafe Corporation. 1920 W. 87th Street. They have a long history of city contracts to build CHA replacement housing. If you ask me, that green building is a prototype of something they want to build everywhere.
I can't help but to notice that it is getting rather spooky in Mt. Greenwood Now. west Beverly and Beverly got Spooky 10-12 years ago, now Mt. Greenwood. So our new Green project will have section 8 residents, but hey we Mt. Greenwood resdients get to have Starbucks !!!! after all I belive Ginger promised that in her last TWO runs for re-election as her new development successes. so after nearly 8 years the plan is to have a starbucks by 111th and Kedzie. so the section 8 residents can walk over and use their link cards to get an Ice latte. Yep Spooky as Halloween Night!
Well he works for Rugai, Joyce, and the rest of the 19th ward Hacks and the Todd Stroger & Obama lovers. But he is sticking a knife in Gingers back according to and taking his marching orders from the Joyces they are putting him up to run for Alderman. Unless however; assuming Kevin Joyce doesn't try to take it for himself? Kevin Joyce has been talking in certain circles of wanting to run for alderman. Then by this move he screws over Matt Oshea and Rugai BOTH!!!! go figure. Chumps Murphs Cousin Murph
Who is the political pawn/hack Lesbian Doctor from west Beverly that is running for Alderman? I heard she was put up by Rugai to pre-emptively take votes away from Kevin Joyce or matt Oshea should they try to run? Theory is as follows; Ginger would always be good to get her 42-45% base, if Joyce were to get into the election he could shave 2-5 % points of that support away from Ginger and garner an additional 38-40% of the Mt. Greenwood west Beverly malcontents. Giving him the win by 2-4 points. If a third party came in, she “Dr. Carpet Muncher” splits about 20% of Joyce’s Malcontents voting block & Rugai wins re-election.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the input Ginger.
ReplyDeleteGinger better introduce an ordinance to roll back the city's outrageous sales tax if she wants me to shop in Chicago.
ReplyDeleteWhat is that green building about? I have concerns with what will be housed there. Anyone have any info?
ReplyDeleteI like the"Green" building concept but I have to admit that is one of the ugliest buildings I ever saw. Did anyone put any thought into making it pretty? Are we going to have to look at this forever?
ReplyDeleteI think the employees, especially the pharmacist should all wear sidearms.

ReplyDeleteSissy passersby and "frightened' residents must ACT and be proactive if you want the bad element to get hint and get "lost" someplace else.
ReplyDeleteHigh parking rates, fees, fines and booting and towing threats ruin business strips.
Remember who pays your salary, you ingrates.
Green buildings are a dyfunctional FAD that age in dog years and only please the lackies in the mayor's office.
ReplyDeleteFind a cleaners, cigar shop or useful business that the tightfisted residents will spend money on or patronize.
ReplyDeleteBelly ache less and DO more to help your own businesses thrive in your own neighborhood

ReplyDeleteCity funding means they take section 8.
ReplyDeletethat green building looks weird. it looks like a section eight building

ReplyDeletewhy were they allowed to build something like that here???????????????????
ReplyDeleteAsk the aldercreature.
