This is questionable policy

Governor Pritzker says churches may not fully reopen for a year or more because of coronavirus
by Madison Dibble

It could be more than a year before churches are allowed to resume their in-person gatherings, according to Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

Pritzker announced a five-phase plan to reopen Illinois that gives guidance to schools, businesses, churches, and other religious centers about when they will be allowed to reopen. In phase three, gatherings of up to 10 people will be allowed. In phase four, gatherings of up to 50 people will be allowed. Gatherings of more than 50 people will not be allowed until phase five.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Pritzker confirmed that churches will be held to the same standards and will not be allowed to hold in-person services of more than 50 people until phase five, even if it takes more than a year to get to that position.

"You know that in phase three, there can be gatherings, church gatherings, of 10 or fewer. In phase four, 50 or fewer. So that's the guidance that's been given to me," Pritzker said. "I'm not the one providing that guidance. It really is what the scientists and epidemiologists are recommending."

Pritzker said the state entered phase two on Friday and will enter phase three on May 29 at the earliest. Face masks will be recommended in public until phase five is reached. Schools, restaurants, and bars will not reopen until phase four.

Phase five cannot begin until a vaccine is widely available or a highly effective therapeutic drug is released. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has said a vaccine is 12 to 18 months away from being available to the public.

It is sad that a edict like this is let unchallenged. There are precautions that can be taken and yet the Cardinal remains silent.

What are the names of these scientists
and epidemiologists that are unlawfully allowed to steal our freedoms? What party affiliations are the so called experts with? We have the power not the government, scientists, or epidemiologists. We the People of the United States of America are free, we are not to be controlled by the government.

Where are our state pols Hurley and Cunningham on this? Mute. These Pritzker proclamations are not laws, they are utterances of an inexperienced lap dog politician who obviously is taking direction from someone who doesn’t mind crashing Illinois. Maybe its someone whose future will be seriously impacted if government operations restarts. At each press conference Pritzker talks of ‘’data and science” and then marches the pediatrician from Oak Park to the podium. They answer no real questions from only one pool reporter. When Pritzker retakes the podium, he waves his arms around, speaks in generalities and apologizes and says he knows what we’re all going through. NO HE DOESN’T. How many homes can we flee to? Florida? Lake Geneva? Connecticut? New York?
Nope, we have to stay here, wearing masks that fog our glasses and keep our distance. Think of the expenditures. Millions and millions of dollars for ventilators, for PPE purchased from China and shipped via FEDEX for more millions of dollars. Think about the expense of setting up McCormick place with 3000 beds to treat 5 patients, only to have it dismantled. Think about unemployment and losses to businesses, large and small. And after billions have been flushed down the toilet in preventative overreaction. Then look again at what sage advice all these lost jobs, all these tax dollars and every inconvenience you as a taxpayer in Illinois have put up with and the best they can come up with is “keep a safe distance of 6’, wash your hands and don’t touch your face”. If you told someone years from now that the state of Illinois spent billions and billions of dollars they don’t have to provide you with this “data and science” you’d be looking to re-open the mental health facility in Tinley Park. But the governor says he feels for you, apologizes for your inconvenience, for the disruption of your life, for the uncertainty of your children’s futures since the colleges you’ve spent hundreds of thousands to send your kids to will only result in them not being able to find a job because the careers they trained for no longer exist. So while he and Mrs Pringles fly down to their equestrian estate in Florida and you can’t get a haircut, remember he’s following the data and science. And remember we’re the morons that voted this guy in.

That aftermath of this is going to be just as tragic. The suicides, alcoholism, drug addiction, depression, anxiety etc etc is going to rip the fabric of our state apart. It is truly a shame that they "will go to any means necessary" to achieve power. I can only come to the conclusion that we are living amongst some very Evil people.

I’m sick of it. It’s bullshit. The masks are dehumanizing. They want you to OBEY. They are training you to do so, like pulling the choke collar on a dog.
Don’t believe what these no good SOBs are saying. They want us walking around like zombies in a communist country. Worse.
No church. No saloon. Cover your face.

Stand up for freedom and let’s put an end to this bullshit.

If a governor can rule by executive order indefinitely and take away our rights, then why do we have a constitution and an elected legislature. All hail to King Pritzker.

Has anyone noticed that not one politician has asked God or Jesus publicly for help? ☹️

Unless it's a Jim Bakker type of preacher, I never hear any preacher say God or Satan 8s involved. I wonder why. 😑

  9. I'm going to guess this will change once the Archdiocese gets involved here. They may even threaten to endorse an opponent
