This particular show had to be the most decadent, vile and filthy entertainment ever broadcast over the public airways. Where are the censors? Where is the common sense? It is obvious that the writers are on some type of a mission. They are hell bent on changing the value system of our society from traditional Judeo-Christian to something out of a freak show.
I did some checking and discovered that NBC is owned by General Electric Corporation. It's time for the folks at GE to take control of their subsidiary.

ReplyDeleteI sense your frustration because you are simply mistaken. You are walking around with this mistaken belief that the Founding Fathers were "traditional" or Judeo-Christian; they were deists.
You should look this up. The ideas influencing the revolution were also not Judeo-Christian. We would still have a royal family ... like Spain ... and the Catholic Church, an elected monarchy ... anyway.
Look this up.
... oh, by the way, I hate GE, if that is an consolation. Not even sure why I read many of Jack Welch's books while in business school. Seemed like a decent enough guy.
The media does still have censors. The censors of today censor truth, justice and the American Way, patriotism, capitalism. and religion. They follow the teachings of Saul Alinsky through his Prophet Barak and his clueless pimps in the Democrat Party

However, I happened to be watching Channel 5 news (which I also do not often watch either) when I realized SNL would be following..."what the heck" I will see the opening act (I was not aware it had been previously aired....I thought with the cornucopia of scandals, screw ups, and foolishness taking place in the country right now...I wanted to see if they would dare to make fun of their Messiah....Well of course they didn't...they made fun of who? The Republicans!! Of course. This is why they are not funny. They have an agenda. Plus the skit was just stupid. With all the low hanging fruit of scandals and screw-ups with Obummer they could really have a field day. But no the religion of Liberalism wins out. Needless to say I watched about four to five minutes of truly just stupid, sophomoric jokes (even the liberal NY audience wasn't laughing) I used the power of the remote......and click...bye bye

The post said nothing about the Founding Fathers...yes many were "deists" in the sense that they had their own beliefs about God. But they did not in any way reject the inherent life truths of Western Society. Read their writings and you will find this to be. Their attitudes on these matters had to do with what the state should and should not promote. Anyone who doesn't at least recognize the civilizing effects of basic Judeo-Christian ethics on society need only look to those recent societies that outwardly rejected the beliefs. Soviet Union, Maoist China, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, North Korea, North Vietnam, Cuba, and on and on. These "paradises" freed from any religious "dogma" certainly ushered in a "Great Society". The true definition of an "intellectual" is "one who has been educated beyond his intelligence". A perfect example is Obama. He is smarter than everyone yet the wheels are falling off his administration almost daily it seems with one screw up or corrupt scandal after another. He is failing miserably.
ReplyDeleteIt is the same thing with movie ratings. When we were kids (Gen X-er here), there was no such thing as PG-13. Looking at most of today's PG-13 movies would be considered R in my day. Even previews in PG movies have sexual innuendos. Also, when can we watch a baseball, hockey, basketball, or football game without sex being the selling point of EVERYTHING. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteVery true. There is so much sexual innuendo from movies, to tv and even commercials. The millenials who are so much a part of the new advertising via commercials, pop culture, social media etc...are completely rudderless with regards to basic social propriety. I saw a commercial for a tv show cable where the young girl was responding to a question about whether she would like to have a threesome. She said yes because then no one would know who far**d. This is what passes for humor. Also I have noticed a disturbing trend to me where people are now shown vomiting. It was not that long ago that such gross action would not be filmed. Pay conscious attention in one night of casual TV viewing and notice how much of programming is sexual in nature. Especially commercials...It truly is in your face offensive. It really feels like the media in general is doing their best to lower the standards of the American Public.
