Illinois Supreme Court Reverses Conviction of MAGA Hate Hoaxer Jussie Smollett
This clears the way for Jussie to sue the city for their outrageous behavior. Mayor Johnson will soon be calling for a special meeting of the city council for the purpose of issuing a group apology. Reportedly, the mayor is considering a settlement offer of $100,000,000, lest the case go to a jury and he is awarded $1,000,000,000 or more. The mayor is also arranging for the awarding of a Certificate of Good Character from the CHA.

Is This The Biggest Suppression Poll in History?
I warned you about suppression polls, and the mother of all suppression polls appears to have just dropped.
And it's not even from a swing state.
The latest Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll just dropped, and it claims that Kamala Harris has a three-point lead in Iowa.
"Kamala Harris now leads Donald Trump in Iowa — a startling reversal for Democrats and Republicans who have all but written off the state’s presidential contest as a certain Trump victory," the Des Moines Register reports. "A new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows Vice President Harris leading former President Trump 47% to 44% among likely voters just days before a high-stakes election that appears deadlocked in key battleground states."
The results follow a September Iowa Poll that showed Trump with a 4-point lead over Harris and a June Iowa Poll showing him with an 18-point lead over Democratic President Joe Biden, who was the presumed Democratic nominee at the time.
“It’s hard for anybody to say they saw this coming,” said pollster J. Ann Selzer, president of Selzer & Co. “She has clearly leaped into a leading position.”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has abandoned his independent presidential campaign to support Trump but remains on the Iowa ballot, gets 3% of the vote. That’s down from 6% in September and 9% in June.
Fewer than 1% say they would vote for Libertarian presidential candidate Chase Oliver, 1% would vote for someone else, 3% aren’t sure and 2% don’t want to say for whom they already cast a ballot.
It's worth noting that an Emerson College poll out of Iowa was released on Saturday as well, and it had Trump ahead nine points. Trump has led in every poll out of Iowa against either Joe Biden or Kamala Harris. Yet, this poll is making a huge splash. Why? Ann Selzer is notorious for being extremely accurate and has a fairly solid track record for polling in Iowa. While Iowa is not a big state (it has just six Electoral College votes), the poll's result has implications for other Midwestern states like, you guessed it, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

Cooling July Inflation Sets Stage for Fed’s September Rate Cut

Inflation extended a run of cooler readings in July, sealing the case for the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates at its meeting next month.
The consumer-price index rose 2.9% from a year earlier, the Labor Department said Wednesday, the lowest reading since 2021 and slightly below economists’ expectations of 3%. Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy items, was 3.2%, also a three-year low.
In reality, the CPI is probably running at about 8% per year.

Last week, more than 40,000 hours of Jan. 6 Capitol Police security footage was released in the public domain that once and for all blew a hole in the pro-Trump ‘violent insurrection’ narrative so dear to the Democrats.
The one question on countless Americans’ minds following the release of the damning videos was: will all those men and women recently locked away as political prisoners for dozens of decades get another day in court? Indeed, January 6 may have been a lot of things to many people, but another Boston Tea Party it most definitely was not.

If you remember, 3 years and 5 months ago we were told repeatedly that Minneapolis white police officer Derick Chavin murdered black drug addict George Floyd by holding him on the ground with his knee on Floyd’s neck while Floyd cried “I can’t breathe.”
The “evidence” was a video taken at a distance by a young black girl that was misleading because it suffered from camera perspective distortion as experts at the time explained but were ignored in the media hysteria focused on the police officer. Moreover, Floyd’s complaints that he couldn’t breathe began when he was sitting in the patrol car. As the up close police videos showed, Chauvin’s knee was on Floyd’s shoulder, the approved technique. Chavin was restraining Floyd because he realized he had a fentanyl case on his hands, had called medics, and was restraining Floyd so he wouldn’t thrash around and use up what little oxygen he was receiving. Fentanyl kills, if my memory of my investigation is reliable, by depriving blood cells from carrying oxygen.

On today’s episode of The JD Rucker Show, I said that as of 5am this morning I was 85% sure the “bombing” of a hospital in Gaza City was from Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the “junior” terrorist group in Gaza. By mid-afternoon today, I’m at 99%; one can never be 100% sure of things like this in a world where pretty much anything can be faked.
At 99%, I’d say it’s pretty darn certain.

The slight shift in the balance of power on Capitol Hill has certainly spiced up a few news cycles since last month. Kevin McCarthy continues to surprise, infuriating the Democrats more than any of us thought that he would. He may get the hang of this yet.
McCarthy’s latest move has them a little jittery because it hits at the heart of the biggest of their lies and false narratives of the last two years: the J6 insurrection that was never an insurrection.
