My dad served under Terry Allen. Daddy was 104th INF, captured 10/26/44 in Breda. He had been "in country" about 30days, he was on recon. He spent 6mo in German POW camp for officers in Poland. Force marched to Berlin as Russians advanced. Escaped from Russians rather than be sent to Odessa. After the war Daddy was at the PX at Ft Bliss, he heard, "Hello Capt Hinds" , Turned around and it was Terry Allen. only 27 men out of the 104th INF were captured, and Terry Allen KNEW them.
