had a gun pulled on him
There is a report that yesterday, Alderman O'Shea interrupted a burglary on 95th street only to have the
suspect pull a gun on him. Luckily, O'Shea was able to wrestle the gun away and the suspect ran to a waiting car.
Memo, to Ald. O'Shea, you are much more valuable to your family and to the neighborhood alive than you would be if you were dead.
I didn't here this but bravo to you sir. But Murph is right,why would you throw yourself into harms way like that,but then again split second decisions always get second guessed. Hat's off to the neighboring suburbs and their leaders and their police who stayed well ahead of the nonsense and all banded together to help where needed, the EP plaza;s had presence from Oak lawn,Alsip,Hickory and Bridgeview. Drove up Western this morning from 87th up to 47th. Any retail chain got nailed,Dollar Stores,liquor stores auto part stores and some of the car dealers.But the real spectacle was at 63rd st from Western Ave going west.UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!! Sad day for Chicago and shame on Lighfoot for her inaction.Terrible,Terrible,Terrible. How about a recall

ReplyDeleteExactly!! I am surprised this has not received more attention? Or maybe I have just missed the reports. But yes his dedication is real! I know first hand. It is easy to criticize those in charge, from Matt all the way up to the President. Most times the criticism of what should or should not have been done come well after the events. But stay safe Matt because we have the CPD to handle that stuff and not worth your life! That goes for everyone who has a car, or a phone, or business being robbed. Let the perps have it. I work in 007, yesterday when I stopped a vehicle looting , I simply took car keys and told them to pick up at HQ. THAT car out for few hours.
