Wishful thinking

a cbs study concludes that ILLINOIS RANKS MIDWAY AMONG MOST HEAVILY ARMED STATES, as the liberal media attempts to downplay just how heavily armed americans are. these numbers are 100% bs

Rifle
SPRINGFIELD - Illinois averages 9.2 guns per 1000 people, placing it at #28 among 44 states included in a CBS study on which states have the most firearms. The study was based on the 2013 census and the ATF’s National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.
CBS' study showed that the state with the lowest ratio of guns per persons to be New York with 3.3 guns per 1000 people. The highest ratio was Wyoming, with 195.7 guns per 1000.
The ATF's stats do not include pistols, but do include the sale or transfer of the following firearms, according to the Independent Journal :
  • machine guns
  • short-barreled rifles and shotguns,
  • suppressors/destructive devices like bombs and grenades
  • concealable devices with the ability to discharge a shot through the energy of an explosive
  • any firearm with a bore over half an inch that has not been determined to have a legitimate sporting use.

Chicago Police demand changes by the relatives of two killed

Family members of two people killed by Chicago Police early Saturday asked why officers used deadly force when the PO was just being attacked with a simple baseball bat.

Quintonio LeGrier, 19, was killed by police responding to a domestic disturbance, along with downstairs neighbor Bettie Jones, 55, police said. “Why couldn’t he be in the hospital if something had to happen, rather than in the morgue?” Quintonio LeGrier’s mother, Janet Cooksey, said Sunday outside the West Garfield Park home where the shooting occurred.

ILLINOIS LOSES MORE TOTAL POPULATION IN PAST YEAR THAN ANY OTHER STATE, as the rauner style of government kicks in

Suitcase
SPRINGFIELD - Illinois is in a steep population tailspin, census data shows - and there are multiple reasons why it's happening.
Illinois is in second place for the most people moving to other states in the past year. That’s according to estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau earlier this week. Domestic migration data from July of 2014 to July of 2015 has more than 105,200 people fleeing Illinois for other states. That exceeded the number of people coming to Illinois

King Louie says Chief Keef did it.

Is putting plans for his 21st birthday bash on hold!
In an exclusive interview with Gangster Magazine, King Louie fingered Chief Keef as the one that put the job on the King.

Christmas Greetings from the King

Innocent Bystander

Donning a Santa’s hat, Chicago rapper King Louie posted Instagram pictures from his hospital bed Friday and wished his fans a Merry Christmas as he recovers from being shot earlier this week.

MERRY XMAS 2 ALL … ALL I WANT 4 XMAS IS 4 EVERYBODY 2 KEEP ME N THEIR PRAYERS….IM STAYING STRONG 4 MY FAMILY & THOSE WHO R PRAYING 4 ME …..THANK U ALL,” the rapper known for coining the term “Chiraq" wrote.

The rapper — whose real name is Louis Johnson Jr. — was shot in the head while he was busy being an innocent bystander while in a vehicle in the 3900 block of West 83rd Street around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to his management and the
police. In an exclusive interview with Gangster Magazine, the King says he thinks the shooting knocked some sense into his skull. Besides a slight headache, he is feeling better now and thinks his future is going to be bright.

Firefighter funeral: 'Thanks, Dan for being our hero'

WRITTEN BY STEFANO ESPOSITO POSTED: 12/18/2015, 11:30AM
Mourners packed a chapel at St. Rita of Cascia High School on the Southwest Side Friday to remember fallen Chicago firefighter Daniel Capuano who died earlier this week after falling down an open elevator shaft while battling a warehouse fire.
“Thanks, Dan, for being our hero,” said Father Tom McCarthy during a eulogy for the father of three.

“Dan, we love you, we miss you but we will know — we do know — you are always with us,” McCarthy said.

Obama does't believe in Santa Claus

This is the legacy that Obama will leave for America – the most anti-Christian President that has ever been in the White House.

President Barack Obama’s Department of Veterans Affairs has banned employees at its facility in Salem, Virginia, from saying “Merry Christmas” to veterans.

It started as a broader ban that included Christmas trees. Federal law recognizes Christmas as an official federal holiday (5 U.S.C. § 6103) and provides federal employees with a paid day off to celebrate the Christian belief in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.

Every year, a White House Christmas Tree and a Capitol Christmas Tree grace those two respective buildings in Washington D.C., and a National Christmas Tree is also officially lighted outdoors for the public to enjoy during that time of year.

Yet the “Executive Leadership Team” at the Salem VA Medical Center banned Christmas trees, as well as other Christian speech and celebrations. As reported by local media, an email sent by senior staff to the center’s employees reads in part:

…Public areas may only be decorated in a manner that is celebratory of the winter season. Displays must not promote any religion. Please note that trees (regardless of the types of ornaments used) have been deemed to promote the Christian religion and will not be permitted in any public areas this year.

Just hours ago, pressure from the center’s employees caused the management team to cave on the Christmas tree ban. Christmas trees are back in at the facility.

Law Abiding Citizens of Chicago: "Change The Crime Ridden Culture"

Where was this family when young Laquan was running the streets, high on PCP and slashing tires on police cars?  These people let this happen and then they were paid $5,000,000 to keep their mouths shut.

Good Idea, Poor Outcome

The Home Run Inn Pizza on Western- An unforeseen neighborhood disaster. We didn't get what we thought we were going to get.
We envisioned a place where families could walk to for a nice pizza pie.

Instead we got a very troubled institution that families will not dare enter

Home Run Inn Pizza is a Chicago Institution known for their excellent pizzas which are even leading sellers in many grocery stores as frozen pizzas.
When Home Run Inn contracted to put a pizza restaurant into a long vacant building on the northwest corner of 109th and Western it was hailed by all as a huge neighborhood win. There were press releases and much excitement among the community leaders. Even though our ward has as many fine pizza places as any in the city, Home Run Inn was big time and welcomed with open arms. Also, Home Run Inn was only going to offer dine in with no delivery so as to not take away much business from other pizza establishments that had been in our community for so long.

Shortly after the announcement, problems began to surface. Home Run Inn as a policy does not use non union labor for construction. Yet when building began, non union labor was being used almost exclusively on the project. Because we live in a community that is known for being strongly pro labor,

Donald Trump Calls for ‘Complete Shutdown Of Muslims Entering the United States’ as the mood of the country begins to swing to the right.

donald-trump_3
by Michelle Fields | 7 Dec 2015
Presidential candidate Donald Trump is calling for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”
In a statement released Monday, Trump pointed to a poll from Center for Security Policy to show that segments of the Muslim population detest Americans…

There you have it. Trump is the only candidate saying the obvious truth that we need to embrace for the survival of our civilization.

The next question is:

“Why are all the other candidates so slow on matters of life and death?”

Answer:

Follow the money.

This is bigger than you think. These prosecutors are not going to come up empty.

Anyone involved during the past 10 years, in what could be described as a "coverup" needs to be concerned.
CHICAGO (AP) - Responding to deepening mistrust of one of the nation's largest police forces, the federal government opened an investigation Monday into the Chicago Police Department, and authorities announced they would not charge an officer in the death of a 25-year-old black man who was shot in the back last year.
The Justice Department investigation was to look into patterns of racial disparity in the use of force. It comes nearly two weeks after the release of a video showing a white Chicago police officer shooting a black teenager 16 times.

Tonight........... RIDGE PARK FIELDHOUSE

We all like pizza
There is a community meeting Tuesday night at Ridge Park 7 pm where Alderman O'Shea will present plans by Barraco's to obtain a liquor license at the former Chicago Public Library building on 95th Street.

Barraco's on 95th St.  in Evergreen Park and 111th St. in Mt. Greenwood are class operations run by a good family. I cannot see them being involved in anything less. I doubt very much if this could ever become a Chuckie Cheese.  It will bring an abandoned building back to life and bring some need nite life back to the strip.

Still there is the concept of precedent. "If they got to open there why can't we open here". That could become quite serious if there was a civil rights theme involved. Then there is the danger of a segregated pizza joint opening just like another one did a few years ago. I believe that ownership can take steps to guard against that.

What is required is a very carefully detailed agreement as to the mays and may nots. The entire neighborhood needs to be involved in this discussion. Your attendance is mandated.

Bernie Sanders..........nutcase. The sad thing is that he has a following

Personally, I think the greatest threats facing the world is the Muslim trend toward radicalization, followed by the corruption of our leadership.

Democratic presidential Bernie Sanders rolled out an expansive climate plan Monday that aims to cut U.S. carbon emissions 80% by 2050 and create 10 million clean energy jobs.
To accomplish these goals, the 16-page plan takes a kitchen sink approach, including everything from a tax on carbon to a ban on fracking to a push for more walkable cities.
And beyond the environmental goals, the plan has a political one, too – to enfeeble the fossil fuel industry, whom Sanders says has “bribed politicians into ignoring [climate] science”
“Climate change is the single greatest threat facing our planet,” the plan states. But it hasn’t been solved because “a small subsection of the one percent are hell-bent on doing everything in their power to block action.”
Sanders’ plans says he will “bring climate deniers to justice,” citing the example of his recent call for the the Department of Justice to investigate Exxonmobil over allegations it suppressed climate science. And beyond the carbon tax, Sanders would ban fracking, ban offshore drilling, and ban the exportation of oil or liquefied natural gas.
He would use money from the carbon tax to finance clean energy development, enhancements to the national grid, and improvements to make homes more efficient. He would also raise the fuel economy standards to 65 miles per gallon by 2025 for cars. But at the same time, he would begin to phase out nuclear power plants by placing a moratorium on license renewals, saying solar, wind, and geothermal are better choices.
Meanwhile, his plans calls for infrastructure spending on things like high speed passenger and cargo rail, along with more electronic car charging stations and plans to cities more walkable.

Why is this an issue?

Is this real or just more B.S. Are they trying to imply the U.S. have been trying harder than the Russians, as a run up to the presidential address tonight?
Wants to destroy ISIS, not
(FoxNews.com) - The U.S. military says its 15-month bombing campaign on the Islamic State is depleting its munitions supply and that additional money and other support is “critical” for “the long fight.”
"We're expending munitions faster than we can replenish them,” Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh said Friday. “We need the funding in place to ensure we're prepared for the long fight. This is a critical need."
The Air Force has reportedly fired more than 20,000 bombs and missiles in Syria in the fight to dismantle the self-proclaimed Islamic State.
Air Force officials say they have enough munitions right now but project a shortage and want more long-term planning and funding to meet future needs.

Never shed a tear

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner is speaking out on the controversial Laquan McDonald shooting video for the first time.

Thursday, Governor Rauner told reports he cried when he saw the video. He says he cried for Laquan McDonald, and cried for the good police officers in the city of Chicago.

When asked what took the governor so long to speak out on the video he said, "he hadn't been asked."
Rauner says he cried over Laquan McDonald video

Rauner said he questions why it took 13 months for officials to charge Officer Van Dyke with the murder.

When Rahm quits..........

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - There are calls for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to step down. And one of the loudest calls is coming from an editorial in the New York Times.
Bernard Harcourt, a former law professor at the University of Chicago, slammed Emanuel and Alvarez for “trying to cover up evidence of the shooting until after an election.”
But not even those calling for his resignation expect Rahm Emanuel to step down as mayor. There's no provision for impeaching a mayor. There's no recall election.
But what would happen if there were a vacancy?  FOX 32 News talked to the guy who took over the last time there was a vacancy in Chicago, 28 years ago.
It may have been the stormiest meeting ever in the long, uproarious history of the Chicago City Council.  Presiding was then Alderman and Vice-Mayor David Orr.
The sudden death of Harold Washington had made Orr the city's chief executive for seven days, until the Council voted fill the vacancy.
Now, the elected clerk of Cook County, Orr, opposed Rahm Emanuel's re-election this year. He'd be happy to see him go. But he isn't holding his breath.
“I don't think he's going to resign unless there are things in his heart that I don't know. It’s not his style to quit. He's a fighter,” Orr said.
But, if Emanuel did quit, the current vice-mayor, downtown's Ald. Brendan Reilly, would take over until the City Council picked a replacement.

Garry McCarthy

What did he think was going to happen?

Best NFL play of the year. Packers beat Lions last night

Thursday, December 3, 2015

Perhaps it's time for Rahm to just leave, thats right - resign

His form of leadership in Chicago is fast becoming a national joke!
Go Help Hillary On Her Campaign

  • influenced Anita Alvarez to kill the investigation of Van Dyke, until the election was over
  • rammed through a $5,000,000 settlement with the family,  right after the election
  • influenced Anita Alvarez to indict Van Dyke after a court ordered the release of the video
  • throws McCarthy under the bus as if he is at fault
  • cancels plans to jet to Paris this weekend after being in China just last week
At some point I suppose an argument could be made that Rahm has obstructed justice. Everything he does is just so damn cute.

Everyone is so pissed off at each other. The Blacks are mad at the police and the Latino's, The Latino's are mad at the
Blacks. The Whites are mad at the Blacks. We have never had this kind of crap before.

This is all Rahm's fault. He has played reckless with a delicate situation. Everything is a game or a power play. Everything is a con job. At the very least, he should go back to Highland Park.

TURN IN YOUR GUNS
Washington (CNN)President Barack Obama reiterated his call for more gun control reforms to make mass shootings in the U.S. "rare as opposed to normal" in the wake of a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California.
Speaking to CBS News moments after news broke of the shooting, Obama called for "common sense gun safety laws" and urged lawmakers to pass a law to prevent individuals on the "No Fly List" who are barred from boarding commercial flights from legally purchasing firearms.
"We don't yet know what the motives of the shooters are but what we do know is that there are steps we can take to make Americans safer," Obama said in the interview. "We should never think that this is just something that just happens in the ordinary course of events because it doesn't happen with the same frequency in other countries."
Obama said the pattern of U.S. mass shootings "has no parallel anywhere else in the world."
It is starting to look like San Bernardino was a terrorist strike. So much for gun control.

    INCREASED TRAIN TRAFFIC

This past Sunday morning, after being stopped for a CSX train at 103rd and Rockwell for 10 minutes, I headed west only to be stopped for another CSX train at 103rd and Sacramento for another 10 minutes. Coming back, I was stopped by another CSX train at 103rd and Sacramento for 5 minutes. I started wondering since when does CSX use the Grand Trunk line. The answer is below.
The result of this 'acquisition of an easement' is that an incredible amount of train traffic is now going through our neighborhood. Traffic is being tied up at all hours and police and fire cannot properly respond when needed.
What amazes me is that not a word is being said about this. Not a word. Was there notice of public hearings? Did anyone object? Did anyone show up?

CSX Transportation, Inc. (CSXT) and Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company (GTW) have agreed to exchange perpetual rail operating easements over certain parts of each other's lines. GTW has agreed to grant CSXT an easement over a GTW line between Munster, Ind., and Elsdon, Ill. (Elsdon Line), over which GTW would retain local and overhead trackage rights. CSXT also has agreed to convey local and overhead trackage rights over that line to various GTW affiliates and a CSXT affiliate. In exchange for that easement, CSXT has agreed to grant GTW an easement over a CSXT

THIS IS GOING TO BE A CLUSTER F----

IT WASNT A WARNING LETTER, IT WAS PART OF THE LICENSE PLATE RENEWAL PROCESS. Without that form, drivers will have difficulty getting that sticker.
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - You might want to double-check the status of your vehicle's Illinois license plates. They are expiring on hundreds of thousands of vehicles Tuesday starting at midnight.
But many Illinois drivers have not gotten the usual warning mailed by the State. As Political Editor Mike Flannery explains, it's one more consequence of Springfield's failure to approve a budget.
Currency exchanges were jammed Monday night with many patrons paying a $9.50 surcharge to renew their license plates at the last minute. Many complained that they didn't get the usual warning in the mail.

"Well, I didn't get nothing. So I looked at it yesterday. And I noticed it was expired," Al Cone told FOX 32 News.
The wife of disabled retiree Wayne Leonhardt also noticed by chance the other day that their plates were about to expire.
He put a newly-purchased sticker on, without which they'd be subject to a ticket and $60 fine.
"We're safe for another year. And all we've gotta do now is put something in the calendar so we follow up every year," Leonhardt said Monday.
But some people say they are used to getting the reminder letter.

The Leonhardts are in the first group of Illinois vehicle owners in decades NOT to be reminded by mail that their plates were about to expire.
