Joe Biden says 10 to 15 percent of citizens "not very good people

I wonder if Biden would include himself in that group of "not very good people"

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee former Vice President Joe Biden said most Americans are good and want to improve the country but called 10 to 15 percent of citizens "not very good people." In a virtual town hall event broadcasted Thursday night on "The Shade Room" and moderated by actor Don Cheadle, Biden spoke about race and what a Biden administration would do to push for racial equity in office.

"Do we really think that this is as good as we can be as a nation? I don't think the vast majority of people think that. There are probably anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of the people out there that are just not very good people. But that's not who we are. The vast majority of people are decent. We have to appeal to that and we have to unite people," Biden said.

I have an opinion of Joe Biden. Its based on character and his personal history. Its based on fatherhood and the allowance of privilege that he criticizes caucasians for that he himself totally ignored. Over the last few months, we've heard Biden talk about his upbringing, his face off with Corn Pop, his bravado at having a Russian prosecutor dismissed by threatening to withhold funding unless he was fired. I look at him as a parent, as someone who lost his son to cancer, and lost the other to the depravity of drugs, strip clubs and financial excess. As parents would we be able to control our adult children from questionable behavior. Would our children have enough respect for us to avoid putting them in positions requiring them to defend immoral behavior, narcotics, strip clubs, intimately involving ourselves with our brother's spouse. Impregnating and refusing to acknowledge responsibility of a child he fathered. Marrying someone else they haven't even take the time to know....The whole thing is bizarre to me. Sure you can't blame Joe for what his kid does, but you can certainly question his parenting skills that would steer his kids so far off the tracks. If you can't maintain a level of morality, discipline and respect in your own home, how does that translate to looking out for the entire country. Joe is just shy of his 80th birthday. He has difficulties addressing current issues that basically have him going 180 degrees away from where he went for the past 47 years in public office. He was past his prime when he was elected with Obama in 2008. He stepped aside for Clinton in 2016 and now that she dodged an indictment and worse because of FBI, CIA, and DOJ malfeasance, we got him. The entire democratic playbook has me wondering if the ghosts of Abbie Hoffman and the Chicago 7 and students for a democratic society have crawled out of their ratholes to give it another shot.
Those who have put in their time for public service deserve better than what's currently being served up. Our elected legislatures, as well as government officials have spent nearly 4 years not doing what they pledged to do, what they took an oath to do. They have failed and we pay for their failures. New ideas and reforms are thrown at us, without input. So much for representative government. Decisions to open the cells and let those convicted and those awaiting trial, free to walk the streets. Where do these ideas come from? Who benefits? And what do those who made those decisions expect in return? Its time to wise up.
Its your dime, its your life, its your family's future. end of rant
