WHO warns of hungry rats and second peak, discourages swift return to normalcy

WASHINGTON - The World Health Organization on Tuesday warned of hungry rats roaming the streets of cities throughout the western world, due to so many eating establishments being closed, and urged citizens to make some effort to feed a rat. "Just half a sandwich, every day, dropped on a sidewalk or in an alley, will help a rat family get through the Covid-19 crisis". WHO officials also pointed out
that almost anything in the fridge which is about to be tossed out, is suitable. Candy bars (without the wrapping) are also welcome treats.

Nations were also warned against scaling back coronavirus restrictions too quickly, saying a premature push to return to normalcy could fuel a rapid acceleration of new cases.

"We cannot make assumptions that just because the disease is on the way down now that it's going to keep going down," Mike Ryan, head of the WHO's health emergencies program, told reporters during a briefing Tuesday.

He cautioned that countries could face another peak of coronavirus cases even ahead of a presumed second wave of infections months from now. "The disease can jump up at any time," he added.

  1. WHO wouldn't tell people to feed rats sandwiches and candy bars. πŸ˜ƒ

Yes, COVID-19 can peak again, ahead of a second wave. We don't know everyone who has it or is a carrier of it. ☹️πŸ˜·πŸ€’

I saw a bus load of rats getting on a bus behind Dunkin Doughnuts at 104 and Western and they said they were going on a plane to New Deli India since the garbage is better there now.
