Felony Murder in Illinois
The Left won’t like this. Homeowner fatally shoots intruder; second intruder charged with murder.
Two guys break into a home in Suburban Chicago. What Mike Royko used to refer to as “The Land Beyond O’Hare.” One was armed with a knife, the other with a gun. They threatened the homeowner’s family with the gun.
While that was going on, the homeowner retrieved his firearm.
“Fearing for his life and the lives of his wife and children, the homeowner discharged a round from the family handgun, striking Mr. Brodacz in the abdomen,” the police statement said.Brodacz was pronounced dead at the scene. His death was ruled a homicide.
The other miscreant was charge with murder, because you are responsible for the completely foreseeable consequences of your actions, and it visit violence upon a family there is a good chance that someone will defend their family members from you.
It’s tough being an adult, but grow the f^ch up.
Self-defense is a human-right, and even in Illinois, it just might be your legal right.
It's not over till the fat lady sings. It's quite likely that the murder charge will be dropped before trial. If not, the only reason would be that the offenders appear to be caucasian. There's gonna be a lot more of this type of crime. Keep your doors locked at all times and maintain self awareness.
ReplyDeleteI bee thinking that the perps were struggling car salesmen. The cops collared one of em. They put him in the cruiser, and drove hom over to the precinct. A good collar in my book. The one perp is doing the room temperature challenge and the other one is in the pokey.
