The long and short of it is that it can be no more controlled than the common cold. About 80 percent of people that contract the virus have minor cold symptoms. The other 20 percent become very I'll, with nearly 2 percent succumbing as a result. Unfortunately people with minor, or no symptoms can transmit the virus. This is a very serious public health concern
