On July 18, 1969, a drunk Ted Kennedy drove off the Chappaquiddick bridge leaving Mary Jo Kopechne in the car to drown. He was able to escape and waited ten hours to report the incident , leaving Mary Jo trapped in the car.
Ted Kennedy pleaded guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury and later received a two-month suspended jail sentence.
At the time, the media worked hard to protect Ted Kennedy. They are still at it today. Witness some of the recent headlines:

50 years ago, Chappaquiddick crash claimed a life, tarnished a legacy

And they wonder why we call them #fakenews…
Who can forget Teddy on national TV, wearing the Skokie collar, trying to manipulate viewers with his fabrications about making numerous dives into the water, trying to rescue Ms. Kopechne. Like his brothers, he was a womanizing piece of crap, with a drinking problem but still with the arrogance and sense of entitlement. For all those Kennedy fans out there, who belabor the numerous tragedies that befell this family, I only look to the matriarch Rose, who upon learning her husband Joe Kennedy was in the midst of having a stroke, walked out of the house to play a round of golf. Good for her.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite bumper stickers," My hand gun has killed less people than Ted Kennedys oldsmobile" and "If Ted Kennedy drove a Volkswagen he would have been president".
ReplyDeleteWe must forgive Ted.
ReplyDeleteReally, where do you want to start? Some of his liberal legislation that initiated some of the immigration issues we now deal with, his support of Obamacare, some of his "me too" moments. An 018th District police officer told me of having to drive the drunkard back to his hotel room after stopping him on north Michigan Avenue, 3 sheets to the wind looking for "adventure. Or maybe we can remember him with fondness for bequeathing his senate seat to the fake Indian, Elizabeth Warren. We can forgive him, but it doesn't me we can't despise everything he stood for....which was mostly himself.
DeleteNo We Don't
ReplyDeleteYes, we must forgive
DeleteThere is a special place in hell for politicians like him.
ReplyDeleteHell is going to be full of politicians, I'm thinking Chicago politicians will most likely be in the majority. I'm just hoping that the road to hell has as many potholes as the 19th ward so they all have a bumpy ride there.
DeleteOnly God knows for sure, not us.
DeleteDespising Ted is Satanic behavior. Jesus taught forgiveness. To Catholics, Pope Francis and Cardinal Cupich preach forgiveness too.
ReplyDeleteWarren won the US Senate seat, over Republican incumbent Scott Brown. There was no bequeathment.
ReplyDeleteIf the "Lion of Senate" hadn't dropped dead, he'd still be there. Brown got elected to fill the remainder of his term, and lost to the fake indian. A long line of useless democrats, momentarily interrupted by Kirk's appt to fill the remainder of the drunks term before Brown.
DeleteKirk and Warren fill Ted's seat well. Warren will defeat Trump!
DeleteThe left always protects itself.....
