The ax is swung as years of financial mismanagement and secular thought takes it's toll

Last week, numerous long-time loyal employees at St. Xavier University were told they were fired immediately and were then escorted to their cars by armed guards.

It seems that the college is having severe financial problems. The formerly great institution which has developed highly recognized education and nursing programs, has also developed a dependency on government aide programs, which are being phased out. Previous administrations spent all the money as if this day would never come and neglected to create reserves.

As an aside, the good Sisters of Mercy are long gone and the makeup of the current Board of Trustees is secular.

Radical liberal leftist (Democrats) took it over and turned it into another welfare giveaway to the urbanites....I went there about ten years ago to study for some career exams (as I had done several years before while in college). I went into the cafeteria to study and was literally the only non minority there. As I went to buy some food I got a lot of stares, (not friendly ones either). I shrugged it off went to study anyway figuring it was just an odd one time thing. Went back again a few days later and got the same treatment. Now it makes sense. The University was getting better and better in certain fields, and while I did not attend Xaviers, it's reputation was growing. I bet they recruited young students who got a rude awakening like I did, and didn't like, just like me.

It is because of lay control and accepting millions of government subsidies. Land of Lakes conference held
something like 60 years ago that forced religious institutions to secularize. Look at the name on the new dorm behind the original building. One of these days the Catholic church will realize when they are being duped by the secularists.

Armed guards? Doesn't sound like the Catholic church.
