There is hope if Dart can get his act together. I'm sure everyone in the neighborhood would support him.

I know a lot of people who really dislike his behavior over the past twenty years. Where are his statements about the BLM lunatics trying to foment a riot right in his back yard? NOONE asks him from the media. Zero "intellectual curiosity" in the media. Wait come to think of it with the media kissing his behind and shielding him endlessly he just might win.

Some people would argue that he has had some bad advice. Surely it was wreckless advice.

Mr. Taxwinkle would just be a horror story. It would be the last straw for me.

Anyone ever consider the mindset of a politician? They're not like normal people. How many times do perennial candidates continue to run for offices, even after they lose election after election. We saw it with Jane Byrne, we saw it with Vrydolyak switching parties to run as a republican after serving as the chairman of the Cook County regular democratic party. The point being that even the the voters demonstrate election after election that they don't want them, they keep coming back. How did Nixon get to be president after losing to Kennedy? Same thing with Rahm, most everyone despises him and recognizes that he sat on the VanDyke video until after election, hoping that the family that was paid off to keep their mouths shut wouldn't spill the beans. He threw Gary McCarthy under the bus less than a week after telling the media that he had his back. So as vile and despicable as he is, he'll run again. And he'll strong arm (minus 1 finger) campaign donations and run a hefty campaign. And unlike federal elections, the candidates with the most dough in the game, usually win. Whose going to cough up enough money for another candidate to make the race. Frankly, I wouldn't piss on Dart's face if it were on fire. Maybe Preckwinkle can get some Soros money to run against Rahm, but on the campaign trail, she doesn't come across as anything impressive unless they're giving points for big and gawky and handicaps for homeliness. And the current sentiment of voters in Cook County won't sway for socialist candidates like Chewy.

But most importantly, lets remember the financial health of the city and take into consideration shifts in population. We've been taxed out. Taxes on sugary drinks, on grocery bags, on gym memberships, on garbage pickup and more. Being elected mayor would be like winning an ugly contest where your chances of digging out of the financial whole are slim and none. But if Preckwinkle, Dart and Garcia think they can make a race of it, and come up with some bullshit that's going to make the city's financial woes go away, let them have at it.
