White Sox

RIP OFF
Here we are. It's August and the Sox are playing less that .500 ball, again. How much of this agony must we endure? If they were contenders that would be great but this crew is not serious about winning anything. The problem starts at the top. The owner is not serious about winning. He just wants to make time. The manager is a joke. He is the manager not because of coaching ability but because he does what the owner wants.

If I hear again that the owner is a loyal guy, I'm going to puke. If you want loyalty, get a dog. This is about winning. My advice to the owner, sell the team.

Went to the Cell a few Fridays ago for a Konerko benefit. What struck me about the current roster is that there is no personality to this team, no player standouts. As you walked through the park, any fans wearing Sox jerseys had names of players past, mostly from the 2005 World Series team. And up until a few years ago, the outside of the park had the "Home of the 2005 World Series Champions" sign facing the Dan Ryan. For Christ sakes that's milking it for more than 10 years. Chicagoans realize hometown World Series teams come every 100 years or so, but come on. They weren't paying $9.50 for a beer to see a shit team on the field.

Where does Alderman O'Shea stand on Rahm's proposed water and sewer tax?
