Wakeup America, A Doped Up Nation is a Defeated Nation

This woman’s anti-marijuana ‘fact’ may have not been the best argument to raise. I’m not even sure it’s true and, seriously, how often do people using marijuana fall over dead from a cardiac arrest? Yeah, it may happen now and then, but I doubt it’s a frequent occurrence.
As one might expect, Libertarian presidential candidate, Gary Johnson, takes full advantage of the moment to mock the absurdity of her claim. The audience laughs at Johnson’s antics and, seemingly, takes lightly the dangers of the substance.
Tragically, Americans in large numbers are too stupid to realize that a doped up nation is a defeated nation. This explains, in part, why liberals have been at the forefront promoting marijuana use and legalization since their long-term goal has always been to undermine the social, moral and cultural fabric of our nation (though I recognize that not every person who advocates hemp use necessarily wants to undermine the U.S.).

Don’t worry, marijuana’s perfectly ‘safe’!
I have no desire to engage in protracted disputes with my readers over the merits of marijuana. I’ve heard them all before. I remain unpersuaded by the pro-marijuana position. If you differ, so be it.
As a street cop for many years, however, I’ve seen its ruinous effects on families, communities, and individual lives. I’m not suggesting that every person without exception will destroy their life or health as a result of smoking marijuana, especially if it’s used periodically, sparingly, or for medical purposes.
The reality, however, is that the greater majority of people have no such constraints. Whether it’s alcohol, food, or marijuana, most humans will abuse anything that feels good regardless of the long-term consequences to their health or future generations.

A glimpse at the future American male
I don’t think a lot of people consider the long-term societal consequences of marijuana use. People tend to ‘live in the moment’ and they rarely think about how their habits or vices will effect future generations. The health, genetic, and social struggles of their grandchildren means little to them. If only a few Americans smoked marijuana, not much could be made of it. But if enough of them started and continued to consume it, the societal and cultural ramifications would be enormous.
Aside from the well-documented effects that marijuana has on young and developing brains, including one’s health, there is also the lack of drive or motivation that accompanies its use. Granted, this may not occur to everyone without exception. Some regular users, in fact, claim to be more ‘creative’ when they smoke it, but that almost always proves to be a personal opinion far removed from those who are more sober-minded.
The point is, what will our nation’s future look like when enough Americans become addicted to marijuana? What kinds of unique health concerns will we have to face and forced to pay for? What effects will this have on future generations? What genetic or biological concerns will we have to grapple with? When hard decisions that will effect us all have to be made, how sober and alert will those people be who make them on our behalf?
These are all questions that we as a society must confront and ferret out now, rather than later when it may be too late to stop the avalanche of new problems generated by marijuana use.

  1. Hey there this website http://www.a1mmj.com/ was set up after identifying the need for public information in regards to helping others
legally access medical cannabis in a state where cannabis has been illegal for to long. From the science,
to the medicine, to the laws, and business, A1 MMJ has educated itself in every sphere, and attended many
of the Compassionate Use workshops and legislative meetings around the state of Florida.
