RAND PAUL TO CHICAGO SOUTH SIDERS: "CRIME IS A SPIRITUAL PROBLEM"

CHICAGO - This week during presidential hopeful Rand Paul's visit with Chicago's New Beginnings Church family on the South Side, the U.S. Senator pointed to what he sees as the cause of crime spiking in America's cities.
"There's crime going on all across America, it is not a racial thing, it is a spiritual problem," Paul said.
This week's comments in Chicago's South Side are not new to Paul. He's been warning that America is in a deep spiritual crisis since 2014, when he wrote inTIME.com:
America needs to revive tradition. America needs to revive virtue. America needs to revive the hope that springs eternal from the transcendent teachings of a humble carpenter who died on a cross. Government can supply bread, but it can’t mend a broken spirit.
Mother Teresa was once praised for her social work in India. She replied, “We are not social workers. We do this for Jesus.” No secular government, no social worker can claim the same motivation. No government, no law, can force a people to be virtuous. Our churches, schools and parents must fill that void.
This is not the norm right now. Speaking of a revival, speaking of our values, is sadly considered nonconformity in this day and age.
In other words, we must do something that our world often tells us not to do: Seek God.
Fox News' Saturday morning talk show discussed Paul's comments in Chicago:

Reading this I almost over dosed on common sense. My resistance is low because I live in a generally liberal community. My newspapers, neighbors, church, teachers, community organizations are so liberal. I have a permanently bleeding lip from biting it so often. For more common sense - Ann Coulter's appearance on Jorge Ramos program where she talks about and defends her book and common sense views on illegal immigration. She exposes it for the scam it is....Google her interview and show it to all your friends, especially the ones who think immigration during a time of poor economic conditions is a good idea....also her book is called "Adios America". Ramos: "what is wrong with diversity? I am for diversity".....Coulter: "No you're not...you're for Mexicans"
Ahhh common sense.....it really is addictive !

I've seen this guy on the talk show/news commentary programs a few times over the last few weeks. He doesn't take kindly to questions that run contrary to the bullshit he's shoveling. He gets pissed is a journalist or moderator of a news show asks him a follow up question. To see that kind of ego this early in the game colors any inclination I'd have of voting for him. I'll wait to see more, but from what I've seen so far, he's right up there with Hillary and her my way or the highway attitude towards middle class Americans. They both are front running panderers. I can't wait to see where Jeb Bush lines up with this guy.
