I think Chuy is going to win. Rahms people think the victory is in the bag and are not working that hard.
Case in point: a ward 19 political operative that likes to spend a few winter months on the west coast of Florida has been making phone calls to former ward 19 captains asking them if they would like to work their old precinct for Rahm Emanuel. The answer is always no.
He is making these calls from the comfort of his condo overlooking the gulf of Mexico. If he was serious about helping Emanuel, he would be back on a plane and calling these people from the ward office. He can't be bothered. Neither can the rest of the former leadership.
It's a lose-lose race. However, Rahm is SMARTER, TOUGHER and MORE EXPERIENCED than Garcia. Voting for Chuy is like voting for Richie Daley again, or for Jeremiah Joyce who was the brains behind him and pulled the strings. We don't need any more puppets and string pullers.
