More of the same?

RAUNER PICKS a TRANSITION TEAM which would not be that much different from any such list that Quinn would put together !

CHICAGO - Thursday in Chicago, Governor-elect Bruce Rauner made a first step in his promise to "Shake Up Springfield" by appointing a mixture of Democrats and Republicans to his gubernatorial transition team.
Those who've agreed to make recommendations to the governor-elect for personnel and policies include:
  • Jim Edgar - Fmr. Governor of Illinois - Republican
  • Bill Daley – Fmr. White House Chief of Staff under Obama, Fmr. Sec. of Commerce under Pres. Clinton
  • Glenn Poshard – Former Democrat Congressman
  • James Meeks – Former Democrat State Senator, Senior Pastor, Salem Baptist Church of Chicago
  • Manny Sanchez – Founder, Sanchez Daniels & Hoffman; Co-Chair, Latinos for Obama
  • Doug Oberhelman – CEO and Chairman, Caterpillar Inc.
  • Jill Tracy – Illinois State Rep. 94th District - Republican
  • Ron Huberman – Fmr Superintendent & CEO, Chicago Public Schools
  • Phyllis Wise – Chancellor, University of Illinois
  • Jim Alexander – President, IL State Police Command Officer’s Assoc.
  • Aaron Schock – U.S. Congressman (R-18th CD)
  • Arabel Alva Rosales – President, AAR & Assocs., LTD.
  • Ron Gidwitz – Partner, GCG Partners
  • John Gates – Chairman and CEO, PortaeCo, LLC.
  • Corey Brooks – Founder, New Beginnings Church of Chicago
  • Rob Funderburg – Chairman and owner, Alpine Bank
  • Mark Cozzi - Managing Partner, Lincoln Park Capital Group
  • Tony Anderson – Midwest Managing, Partner Ernst & Young
  • Sarah Frey-Talley – President, CEO Frey Farms
  • Gloria Cardenas Cudia – President, Salsa Business Network
  • Jim Schultz – Founder of Open Prairie
  • Willie Wilson – Chairman, Chicago Baptist Institute International
  • Eleni Bousis – Board Chair, Greek American Rehabilitation & Care Centre
  • Ryan Ruskin- President and COO, Ruskin Group
  • Beth Christie – Founder and CEO, Avent America
  • Ed McMillan – Principal and CEO, McMillan L.L.C
  • Andrea Brown – Member of the Illinois State Board of Education, former Regional Superintendent, teacher and administrator
Some of these people are very good. Without going into specifics, some of them are complete idiots. If Rauner is going to succeed, he needs to get away from anyone with idiotic tendencies or a questionable history.

First of all his list is comprised of some prominent REPUBLICANS. I recommend that we give him say a couple of weeks after he just ran in order to criticize him. These people are from many and all walks of life. A good Executive gets input from all sides, including those he may or may not agree with. A good Executive will listen to his opponents. After all, everyone has a different perspective and just because they may not agree with yours, does not mean they don't have some element of truth to their ideas. I say give him a few months AFTER he has been actually sworn in before we jump on him. He was elected mainly to get the economy and business going again in this state. He seems to have a broad perspective of ideas from which to make some changes.

Bill Daley and Huberman? Are you serious? Both of these guys are part of the cause of the problem. They have no business on that board. The board should have been top heavy with business people and economist. Hardly any.

The Daleys keep getting non-bid contracts for themselves and their friends. Even after you get rid of them to virus continues to infect, spread, and cost resources.
