OBAMA UNDERMINES CATHOLIC SCHOOLS AFTER VATICAN PREFECT PRAISED THEM
One has to wonder, are parochial and Christian schools in America also on the President's enemies list? From the Scottish Catholic Observer -
NORTHERN IRELAND - The US President has made an alarming call for an end to Catholic education in Northern Ireland in spite of the fact that Archbishop Gerhard Müller told Scots that Catholic education was 'a critical component of the Church.’
President Barack Obama repeated the oft disproved claim that Catholic education increases division in front of an audience of 2000 young people, including many Catholics, at Belfast’s Waterfront hall when he arrived in the country this morning.
“If towns remain divided—if Catholics have their schools and buildings and Protestants have theirs, if we can’t see ourselves in one another and fear or resentment are allowed to harden—that too encourages division and discourages cooperation,” the US president said.
The US politician made the unfounded claim despite a top Vatican official spelling out the undeniable good done by Catholic education in a speech in Glasgow on Saturday and in his homily at Mass on Friday.
Archbishop Gerhard Müller (below), prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, told an audience in Scotland that Catholic education provided a rare place where ‘intellectual training, moral discipline and religious commitment would come together’ while giving the presitigous Cardinal Winning Lecture on Saturday to officially launch the St Andrews Foundation for Catholic teacher education at Glasgow University. During Mass at St Andrew’s Cathedral, Glasgow, on Friday night he said that ‘the Catholic school is vitally important … a critical component of the Church,’ adding that Catholic education provides young people with a wonderful opportunity to ‘grow up with Jesus.’
Mr Obama is in Northern Ireland to take part in the two day G8 Summit at the Lough Erne resort in Enneskillen.
Emil Jones, Shaka Khan, LeBron James, Lavar Burton, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Laura Washington, Jesse Jackson Jr., The Stogers: Dad and Lad, and Tony Parker do not appear to have suffered too badly as a result of a Catholic education . . .well JJJ has had a set-back.
ReplyDeleteWithout Catholic schools in Chicago the public school system would be forced to shut down because the property taxes would be too high for anybody to afford to pay. Catholic education also teaches students to give back to society especially those less fortunate regardless of race or religion. I wonder how many underprivileged white causes Reverend Wright's Trinity Church has attempted to help over the years.

Americans - and especially white Democrats - are utter fools. The black machine has taken many of the jobs once held by people in our ward. Also, the Latino machine. I drove down a side street in Beverly the other day with some city road workers. I saw six guys - and ALL of them were Hispanic. Of course that is just anecdotal - but I have noticed that ALL bus drivers in Chicago are black or Hispanic. Meter readers, you name it. So now we have a system where disproportionally white tax payers pay for welfare Link cards, and govt workers who are primarily non white. Also, our public schools are nearly 90 % minority. But who pays. We have been sold out by the Democrats.

And as the article mentions he had no problem ripping on your lifestyle. At least our fawning fools who applaud him over here (in a real country), are applauding because he is sucking up to them and promising them all kinds of freebies. Meanwhile over in the Emerald Stye, you fools are jumping up and down in applause - while he is insulting you! P.S. You Gaelics love to tell other people what to do - how bout kicking those Brits out of your country who have occupied it for centuries.

And as always, John likes to try to mock the Americans of Irish descent in the 19th Ward, he does not realize that this site is primarily for those who ALSO dislike the political fools of our area. While Mr. Murph allows all opinions, this site is a place for us to rant. You are like someone who would go to an anti war blog site and start mocking people because their country is at war.
