Lawsuit threat means Alsip Christmas tradition gets crossed off - Southtown Star

Whatever they said to him I don't know. Now he's so scared he's afraid to call it a "Christmas" tree. Talk about wimping out.

There is nothing wrong with calling it a "Christmas" tree. What is wrong is holding the same public office too long.

One more example of "you get the government you deserve". Virtually every time some law suit like this gets challenged, the rights of religious are upheld. Why do we cave to these fringe elements? If I lived in a primarily muslim or atheistic country, I would not feel offended because they wanted to observe their holidays publicly.
Liberals are not offended by gay men showing their a** cheeks, dry humping, or worse their boyfriend in public in a carnival parade that takes over the entire neighborhood, but let's get offended by a manger scene? People, we just voted for the Democrat Left in this country who basically share that philosophy. It is truly alien to our traditions. This year when you see Fran at the check out line, instead of smiling politely and nodding your head - let her know publicly how you find her pro abortion leftism disgusting and that she is a traitor to her Catholic neighbors.
