Even though that is a small sample of voters from the 19th Ward. That poll is truely Shocking. He gets beat by Rahm Emanuel and Preckwinkle in his own Ward. He should of had 90% of that poll. I started to lose favor with him when he bragged to the BGA that he has only hired 8% of Sheriff Employees from the 19th ward. This compounded with the fact he's hired 12% from some of the black wards. Then he has the nerve to trash talk former Sheriff Sheahan and blammed him for hiring so many from our ward.

ReplyDeleteState Rep. Kevin McCarthy of Orland Park recently resigned from the Illinois House, it was effective immediately. Previously, State Rep. Kevin Joyce resigned from the Illinois House. Both resigned during their term. Do they do this to booster someone else’s pension? Both were not seeking reelection and the person appointed for them wouldn’t seek election in the next race as the incumbent. So, why are they retiring while in term, is it to scam the pension system for someone else?
I don't care if Hynes passed on the first try or not, he has no personality at all and shouldn't run for any public office.

ReplyDeleteActually hynes lost by less than 5,000 votes to Quinn in democratic gov primary. Tom Dart refused to help him. Dart has also stabbed the Sheahan's in the back. Pay back is a bitch and tommy is going to get his real soon.

Lets be honest Tom Dart and Dan Hynes were both silver spoon entilted kids who never had to work for anything. Everything they ever had was handed to them. Hynes 15 minutes of fame is up and so will Darts in a few years. Tom Dart broke the golden rule that you dont shit in your own back yard. If he cant even beat preckwinkle and Emanuel in a 19th ward blog what the hell is he going to run for. He is a Coward and will not run for something unless its handed to him.

ReplyDeleteTom Dart really thinks he is bulletproof with the media. What he doesn't realize is some of them are digging for info. Steinberg of the Suntimes is very interested in the Eviction Scandal. He also told me Tom Dart was a big crybaby. Steinberg claims Dart was pissed at him when he questioned using his kids as an excuse for not running for mayor. Its just a matter of time before the press turns on him. Am i breaking General Orders by talking to the media?

ReplyDeleteTo the above poster. I realize that the sampling was small and that the poll was not very scientific. The poll was nothing more than a snapshot. If Tom Dart thinks that the poll results are a joke, then the joke will soon be on him.
ReplyDeleteThe fact is that Dart is rubbing people the wrong way. He has too many people like you, around him, telling him how great he is. It's 9:00 in the morning. Why don't you get to doing what Dart hired you to do and get off the Internet.
Dart is Co-Chair of Fran's campaign, with O'Shea and Cunningham. So, if Fran wins, then I think Dart will take that as more of a victory than the poll.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows that a poll with only 45 votes is not scientific. However, those numbers should be very troubling to Dart. The people that go on this blog are from the 19th ward. Dart should of got over 85% of the vote. How can he run for anything if his own neighbors wont even vote for him.
ReplyDeleteDart, Fran, Eddie O'Maloney, Richie Cunningham and the new 19th Warders are all super liberal! That is their probalem. If they took a look at the vote tallies in our Ward they would see a much larger % of Republican votes cast. The all seem to have a desire to help others - but the road to hell is paved with good intentions... meanwhile so many of our tradesmen and women and Real Estate, small businessmen of many stripes are getting clobbered. I know i just felt it badly when I had my preliminary taxes worked up... a big increase by Quinn who was supported by all those named above...we need to tell these people to their faces when we see them in the store or wherever and let them know that their policies are hurting us. Dart needs to get off his high horse and start acting like a Sheriff not an Attorney General.
ReplyDeleteI don't get all of the animosity towards Dart. I'm not an apologist and always considered him a mediocre pol, at best. But I definitely think he's a decent guy and tries to operate an honest department/office. I've seen something on another blog about a scandal with evictions but haven't picked-up on it or any details in mainstream media or anywhere else. Can someone clue me in?
ReplyDeleteFrom the comments to this post, it seems like the major gripe against him in the 19th Ward is that he hasn't hired as many people from the 19th Ward as some would like. Is that it? Is the contention that he should hire more locals, regardless of qualifications and federal employment procedures, just to demonstrate some sense of loyalty?
I've got some sad news for the 19th Ward: it's not as powerful as it once was and neither is the old guard who once wielded influence in City Hall and Springfield. Sure, there's a Hynes in the mayor's IGA office, but if the dynasty that ran the 19th Ward was not only unable to deliver the 19th Ward to the current mayor, but was also 1 of only 2 that didn't, I'm not sure what the 19th Ward's bringing to the power table.
I dont even live in the 19 Ward and i think Tom Dart is a scumbag. How would he feel if someone let an illgal alien off after killing someone in his family.
