We need some speed limit enforcement.

I was southbound on Western ave this am between 111 and 115. Another vehicle on my ass. I speed up to 40. She passes me on the right and cuts me off. She was doing 55 MPH while passing me. All I could do was flash my lights. 30 seconds later, here comes a Beaner, same maneuver. Why are they driving like this? Because they know that there is no enforcement. I doubt very much if they would drive like that in EP.

We need MUCH more than just that.. Everywhere in Crookago, and 19, people are talking on Cellphones while driving, not paying attention, going around those stupid round-a-bouts the WRONG direction, texting while driving, eating, blasting down alleys like they are streets, not stopping or even slowing down at Stop Signs, driving all around the local Bars, Taverns, and Lounges DRUNK on weekend late nights, and WHERE [?] are the tickets and Arrests? There AREN'T any. 111 St. from TR's down to Western is DUI Daytona. It's a joke. There are other dangers the Police should be protecting us from other than Gang and Drug killings. When will WE, the Taxpayers out here in the 19th Ward, start getting some real Police, and some Police Service out here? All we do is Pay, Pay, Pay, for everything, and get little or nothing in return. Ever try to drive anywhere around one of these Block-Party's at night while they're going on ? DRUNKS EVERYWHERE, driving, walking, pissing in alleys, fighting, etc. This Ward is losing their already loose Grip on everything out here. Though it would get better after Bitch Rugai left, but so far I haven't seen a single improvement. And how about the 022nd District Cops stay in the City while working, instead of being out in Oaklawn, Burbank, Alsip, etc. riding around, eating lunch-dinner, etc?

NO Traffic Law Enforcement in the 19th Ward. I've had No Thru Traffic Signs in my alley by TR's now for almost 5 years now, the alley is busier than Central Park Avenue, with cars, trucks, etc using it as a street, and not a SINGLE traffic Stop by the Cops, or even one Ticket. TR's...... coupled with the off-duty Chicago Cop Sgt. beaten into a Coma there several years ago on TR's property, and TR's Never received even a 1 Day Suspension of their Liquor License. Drunk Drivers ALL around the area EVERY weekend night-early morning, NO stops by the Police, tickets issued, or DUI arrests made. Democrats have lost control of the bad parts of Chicago long ago, and are now losing control of the only good parts left.

To the first poster, since our cars have GPS and we know we can be and are tracked by our dispatchers and supervisors, your baseless accusation of cars "driving around" the suburbs is nonsense. I'm sure you're unaware that Christ Hospital (which I don't know if you know is in OAK LAWN) is the only trauma center anywhere near the south end of the city. That means that a lot of our victims (shootings, stabbings, car crashes, etc) go there. Now, to complete our investigations, WE need to go there. Now keep up with me here...that means sometimes, driving through, OMG, dare I say it, Oak Lawn, and sometimes even Evergreen Park also. And to address the lack of police presence, yeah, you're right. When you have a police dept that is down almost 5,000 with no plans to hire any more, service will suffer. you can thanks your non-tax paying fellow democrats on the east end of the district for sucking ALL of the 22nd District's resources for their nonsense. You should have voted for Anne Schible, who would have increased police presence on our side of the district. And to answer the traffic enforcement complaints, a few years ago, for weeks at a time, the District was saturated with the Traffic Unit. Well guess what? They were run out by complaints from your politically connected neighbors who don't know that if you want traffic enforcement, the law also applies to you!

  5. Nobody is accusing CPD of lying down. They are doing the best they can with limited resources.
